Good local contact antenna.
Tunes up nice and great for local communication. I suggest you purchase a 3 magnet 259 base for mounting on the mobile. The antenna also folds over in high winds. 80 mph +

This item falls apart
I purchased 2 of these items and mounted one on each of my vehicles. Both literally fell apart while driving down the highway. When I looked at what was left, I noticed that the set screws had backed themselves out and just fell out, leaving nothing to hold them together. Both were assembled correctly and all the screws were tightened before mounting them. Now I have 2 worthless antenna base sections.

Not bad.
Not as good as my yagi, but OK. Had fun mounting it on a fixed mast, but it's still up. Good swr.

works on 2 meter and 70 cm right out of the box.
Tightened to the shortest configuration, this works well right out of the box on 2 meter and 70 cm. I have yet to work 10 and 6 meter and understand it can't do all 4 very well i the same exact configuration. However, the smaller included tool to tighten the locking crews of the polls slips easily and does not tighten them well. May have to replace the screws myself soon and there are no instructional or informational documents included ...

Fold over feature can't withstand highway speeds antenna failed in under 90 days
Bought this to go with my TYT-9800 Quad band radio. It started out working good on VHF and UHF. Have not made any contacts on 6M or 10M thus far so can't speak to that. However the antenna has failed already, SWR on VHF is 12+ which is way to high. I suspect water intrusion into the tilt feature since that joint is not water tight.Would like to return but Amazon says I am out of the return window. I should have returned it when I discovered it did not handle highway speeds

Works
I use this with my TYT Quad Band radio and you would not need anything else. It works.

The antenna goes a good job. I put it into a rigid plastic tube and close that with a special silicone. Now I can use this antenna also as /maritime mobil. My rig is a TYT-TH-9800.

Terrible design of an antenna.
This antenna has a feature that the base is spring loaded to allow it to fold over. The antenna folds over at 50 MPH making it unusable. I made sure the direction of fold was 90 degrees to the direction of travel but it made little difference as it folded over shortly after. Very disappointed in this antenna.

Nice Antenna!
Please note that any quad-band antenna is going to be a compromise somewhere. This antenna just works - and really well. Highly recommend a good SWR meter. I had zero difficulty dialling in the bands. 6m 1st, 2m 2nd, and then work on 10. I have a really good ground plane, and no counter-poise or additional radials, and the SWR never exceeds 1.7. Signal reports on 6 have been fantastic. I can hit all of my regular repeaters as I can with my dedicated 2m / 440 antenna, which is nice. The antenna's build quality is quite good. This antenna has some heft, and my K400 mount makes easy work with it. The fold-over feature is nice and easy to use. I would not recommend high-speed driving w/o securing the top portion of the antenna, though. I am very happy with this purchase. Their Customer Service was super responsive as well. Highly recommend if you are in the market for a Quad-Band antenna.

It should have proper tuning steps with it .
I don't like the lack of proper tuning instructions .I do like the size and convenience of 4 bands on 1 antenna that has some gain . I recieved it a day early .

Good Antenna BUT...
Nicely built antenna BUT the fold over feature folds over at around 80kph (50mph) :(I modified the fold hinge to make it permanent rather than stop every time it flops onto the roof.I will be changing the cheapy set screws & adding some locktite ;)Maybe a stronger spring ;) (manufacturer hint hint)I am using it with a tri-mag mount & that base IS SOLID.~C~Update: Sept 2021 The heat shrink tube is NOT enough to keep it upright. I added a stainless hose clamp at the fold over joint to hold it. May repurpose this one to a Base antenna atop a shipping container ;)Update: Summer 2022 the loading coil in the base failed rendering the thing useless, I kept the whip I am going to TRY and find a base. I looked to see if I could repair it but the plastic insert is PRESS fit at the factory so I would have destroyed it trying to take it apart.

Superb quality, Quad band Antenna
I have it for over two months but due to my cable mount, I haven't used it yet.. to tell ya about the VSWR ratio..But I hope I won't have a problem there...Its solid metal, excellent quality, well made and a quad band antenna which means that you can use it in all radio bands. It's a three piece antenna which needs to be connected together with small screws (provided inside).I think in its category its the best in the market for both stationary and mobile use..Totally recommended to all
