I don't understand some of the negative reviews. I ordered 6 sets of these (12 in all) to use at an upcoming vendor fair to display American Girl Dolls and the costumes that I make for them. Yes, the bases are a bit small, but both feet fit on them. I know some reviews said that the dolls topple over. To test that, I put several dolls in the stands, put them on a table, and shook the table pretty hard. Not a single one toppled over. The worst thing that happened was some of their feet slipped off the base. The metal part pinches in the waist, but not enough to make the dolls look strange or anything. I even tried the base with a doll in a mermaid costume I made which has an exposed waist. It looked fine! Yes, the American Girl brand stands are better quality (larger base/real wood vs. wood composite), but for the money, these stands can't be beat!

This stand would not hold up my doll at all. The metal wires didn't go around the waist tight enough to hold it up, and the stand itself kept bending backwards and coming off the base.

Not worth it!

Vertical metal stand is pliable, and weak metal. Bends with little effort like a bendable aluminum. Very thin metal. The arms of the doll holder are mishapen. Cheap low quality materials and a $5 return fee. Fail. Better off spending more to get a good stand.

I purchased these to hold my 2 girls' American Girl dolls. It tips easily when the dolls are added. The base is not very heavy but my kids haven't complained since the stands went upstairs with the dolls in them. The vertical stand is brown to match the base but is actually somewhat flimsy metal. It doesn't hold the dolls around the waist very "gently"; I had to sort of shove the dolls in them, but nevertheless, they get the job done.

Great deal! Not a super sturdy base, but considering the price it gets the job done. Wanted to buy the AG based but white doesn’t match my decor, so these are perfect.

Just the right size.

Bought for my Mom in her ‘90’s for two bears she has - she loves she can sit in her chair and see them! Excellent product - worth the price.

Who knew doll stands could be so expensive, plus being hard to find! These actually cost more than one of the dolls it was purchased to hold, but I'm glad to have them - and like the wooden rather than standard steel base.

Great value. Worked exactly as stated. Highly recommend. Only ideal change would for it to be in white but that's just me :)
