Great unit. Precision motor. Beautiful stainless steel. Commerical construction. Extracts very well.
Works very well. Read the poor reviews with caution, because those are people that really should be purchasing a non-commercial unit. They are looking for something completely residential and completely "consumer-proof" to put it politely. This is a serious machine which offers the ability for the non extracted pulp to have nearly (95%? or more) all the juice extracted, no need to re-juice the pulp. (This is a big deal for those of us who care, and the main reason we choose this machine over any other). The only cost of this feature is the potential of it becoming unbalanced at certain times. Which is rare if you aren't forcing the fruit and vegetables in. I am pleased with the dryness of the pulp, (until it gets really full). I did have to get a new shredder plate from Waring Pro HQ because the one it shipped with was not manufactured right. Waring Pro sent the new one free of charge and free shipping. There customer service was excellent. The original shredder plate wasn't sharp enough and couldn't shred cucumber skin or apple skin. The unit would become so unbalanced so fast that it was unusable. The new shredder plate makes all the difference. Only con is the size of the inlet, you have to cut the food to a relatively small size which takes some extra work. But in general the precision manufacturing makes this machine a joy to use. All the stainless steel is great. The manufacturing is impeccable. Make sure you follow the instructions. I can juice an entire liter of juice per basket of pulp. The filters are pretty cheap and highly recommended also. Thanks for reading.

Don't add liquids while juicing...
I loved that my juicer, the one I've wanted for so long but hadn't had the gumption to order, was not only available from your web sight, but that it arrived on New Year's Eve day! That meant that I could finish out the year with a healthy, delicious bang!!It was great! I had so much excited energy that day. Every day since then I have made myself and my husband (the whole juicer concept was new to him) a yummy glass of carrot, celery, bell pepper, spinach and tomato juice.I want to make you aware of a danger I encountered, though, when I thought I'd water down the mixture a bit and pour a little water into the spout. It would also help rinse any remaining juice out of the juicer and into my glass. The entire thing began vibrating, and doing a sort-of shimmy-walkon the counter, until the top shook completely off, flying violently and landing behind the juicer and not into my face, thankfully.I had to do something quickly so I pulled the plug out. The pulp inside had,I guess, been loosened and made unbalanced causing the same effect as an unbalanced load of wash has on the washer! Whew! Scarry for a few seconds...but I know now not to put any liquids into the juicer! It would have been helpful for the manufacturer to have added that info. to the user's manual.I do love my juicer, though. I will continue to use it every day,and today I was given two grocery bags of fresh oranges so tomorrow I will use the citrus juice attachment.

like is it dangerous and he said no he thought ...
First of all there is a missed joint, joining, between the upper left front to the bottom where you can see it is not connected to the bottom; there is a space between top and bottom about 1/8th inch, or maybe a 16th but very visible for about 3/4" length that I had not noticed during the unpacking and first two juicings. When I saw it I freaked and had my genius neighbor come look at it, like is it dangerous and he said no he thought not, that it is just cosmetic, but holy cow Amazon to send out a machine like that with a flaw and so much speed and energy it creates spinning. I find that unconscionable. I do not want to pack it up in the box even though I saved it. I just want to use it. I had the same but earlier iteration of the original machine when it was made by Acme Challenger Juicer which lasted me for 40 years. It had heavy metal all through in the base. This has lots of plastic. And the blade handling, with the need to let it rise constantly after very little soft downward push on the carrot is a bit way too fussy. The original was just push down and stay down til carrot got through, etc.

Best on the market
I have used this product for about 2 years now. In terms of quality you are getting your money's worth. It is a solid industrial device that is not likely to have mechanical or structural problems during an owner's lifetime. In terms of use, it is pretty good. Because of the straining action it uses you get significantly more juice per vegetable than any other machine. The only issue I have is with cleanup. It's not bad per se but you do need the filters to save you 80% of the cleanup without them. Even with the filters though it is damn tricky to get all the fibrous leftovers out of the metal spinner. There is just no simple physical way to get pulp out given the design of the spinner. Having said that we're talking a minute or two of running this thing under a faucet tilting it back and forth. If they can solve this I'll give them 5 stars. Finally it looks good. I just wish they would bring back the blue model that my ex took!

Waring PJE401 Exciting Extractor
I like the Waring PJE401 because its pretty simple to use and not to bad on clean up. The only thing I've used it so far for is Lilikoi .(passion fruit). Can make a gallon in nothing flat. Still have to run the extract through a cheese cloth jelly bag due to some seeds and small pieces of seed coating. Used the paper filter but clogged up pretty quick and got small pieces of paper in extract. just strained them out. Not much goes to waste, seems like you get more juice. Very happy with the machine. Can't wait till Waring comes up with a solution for the small pieces of seeds. Now that would be the ultimate to be able to run a gallon of pulp through and not have use the cheese cloth.
