Works perfectly for Turtles
The little clips does not hold it in place so I drilled 3 small holes for the included suction cups and fitted them on the edges and it now stays in place and Leonardo DiTurtle just enjoys his new sun spot everyday. Highly recommended with a little bit of extra work.

A floating dock for turtles who believe they are royalty
If you own a turtle, you already know the truth: turtles are not pets. Turtles are tiny armored landlords who allow you to live near their water. This basking platform is basically a private island for that landlord, and yes, she will act like she paid for it with taxes. This thing floats, it ramps, it bobs around like a polite little pier, and it gives your turtle a very clear option for getting up out of the water without doing that desperate claw-scrabble against the glass like an exhausted rock climber. I wanted something that feels stable and easy to climb, and this does the job. The ramp angle is reasonable, and once it’s positioned right, it becomes part of the tank like it always belonged there. And Bob The Magical Talking Turtle? She saw it and immediately did the slow ceremonial approach like she was inspecting a newly discovered continent. She put one foot on it. Paused. Let it float beneath her like a living thing. Then she climbed up, turned around, and assumed the posture of someone about to receive offerings. No exaggeration: she looked at me like, “Good. You have built the dock. The lake now has infrastructure. We are evolving.” The funniest part is how fast it changes the vibe of your tank. Before this, basking is a whole production. After this, basking becomes an activity with dignity. It’s like giving your turtle a front porch. A porch that floats. A porch that exists solely so a reptile can sit there and stare into the distance like she’s planning international policy. Now, because Bob The Magical Talking Turtle is who she is, she can’t just bask. She has to bask with lore. She has an entire sock collection—earned through acts of kindness and ridiculous heroism—and she treats every “resting place” like it needs to match the energy of her artifacts. She’s the kind of turtle who could be peacefully drying off and still look like she’s thinking about the fate of civilizations. This dock gives her that exact energy. It’s her little island where she can be warm, safe, and judgmental. Also, this platform is great if your turtle is the type to get ambitious. You know the type. The kind that sees the edge of the tank and thinks, “What if I climbed that?” The floating pier creates a defined basking zone and helps keep the climbing behavior directed to something that actually makes sense. Practical notes from a person who has been outsmarted by a turtle: It floats reliably and stays usable once you position it correctly. The ramp is climbable without your turtle looking like she’s doing CrossFit. Gives a nice, consistent basking spot that feels natural. My only warning is not about the product—it’s about what happens after. Once you install this, your turtle will start acting like the tank is a resort. You will be demoted from “owner” to “staff.” Bob The Magical Talking Turtle climbed up, warmed her shell, and stared straight ahead like she was remembering some ancient shoreline where she once earned a pair of Sea Socks woven from enchanted algae after saving a friend from a whirlpool. Then she blinked at me slowly as if to say: “Yes. A pier. This is the correct direction for your species.” Five stars. The dock works. The turtle approves. I now serve at the pleasure of the turtle.

would not purchase if i were you.
very wobbly. one of the posts broke in half within a week. suction cups on the feet pop loose if my turtle swims into it and he has a hard time climbing up onto it cause the "ramp" might as well be made of cloth it's so flimsy. complete joke.

Very flimsy and hard to setup, huge platform for most turtles
Very large platform will fit 1 or more adult turtles but will sink under their weigh. The size is the only redeeming feature. Plastic is very flimsy and brittle with fitting cracking within a week or two. Assembly was somewhat of a nightmare requiring 3 hands to hold the platform together while clipping pieces on. Suctions cups were warped and near useless. For the price I was quite disappointed and went with another solid platform instead.

Perfect for adult turtles and big tanks!
I was looking for a dock that is tall enough for deep water but could also hold two adult turtles and could also fit in a 75 gallon that wouldn’t take up a lot of swimming space. I came across this and was worried about it sinking from their weight but it comes with clips to hold them up! I am able to push as much weight from my hand as I can and it doesn’t budge! It also stays very dry, the ramp also supports a lot of weight and is flexible, I might throw some turf on it for extra comfort and aesthetic. There’s also a little hole to hold greens probably but I might use it for some mini plants. They are also able to swim underneath it and for some reason they love that just as much and they aren’t able to move it as well. My turtles love it! Only downside is I would find it better without the edges around the sides incase any water gets in but as long as you use the clips there’s no worries about that! I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a similar thing as I was! It’s a great alternative to not being able to get an external basking area!

Nice size and space for the turtle
I’m in love with this platform. At first I didn’t know what the springs and suction cups were for bc no directions so I researched and learned the springs raise it! I have baby turtles so I can’t fill the tank too high and the basking area wasn’t getting hot. Once I saw what the springs did, It changed everything. I love this and my turtle so happy

Love it! I have a decade-old turtle who is quite large and heavy, so I had to retire her floating log because she was too big to get herself up and onto it without great difficulty. This platform allows for plenty of room for her to ascend and bask for hours with room to turn herself around and slide off with ease. I have the dock free-floating since I chose not to use the legs so she has more freedom of movement below the water as well. I highly recommend this product to those with full-sized turtles or more than one in a shared space.

My 38-year-old turtle named Shelly loves the platform. She’s a big girl and there’s plenty of room on the platform. We left it free floating and she spends most of the day floating around, enjoying life.
