Sturdy Gauge with Multiple Sizing Units
I wanted to buy another Hanson Drill Gauge (enameled steel, Made in USA), but can't find that brand, so I bought this instead. The Bonewright gauge is well made of a sturdy plastic-like material, & it has measurements in fractions of inches & metric (millimeters). What I like best about it is the instructions (on 4 typed legal sized pages) which are extremely well-written, clear, & informative. Most pros will probably not need this info, but I found the section on bolt & screw measurements (which this gauge does as well, up to 6 inches, in one-eighth increments) to be informative. Well worth the money.

Holistic Drill Bit Gauge - Accurate Measurements, Sturdy Build, and Great Value
I picked up the Holistic Drill Bit Gauge to identify drill bits with faded or missing size markings. This gauge is made from a 1.6 mm (about 1/16 inch) thick PCB board, similar to what’s used for computer motherboards, which makes it much sturdier than the usual thin plastic gauges. This tool has three measurement scales in one – it covers metric sizes from 1.0 mm to 13.0 mm (in 0.5 mm steps), imperial sizes from 1/16 inch up to 1/2 inch (in 1/64 inch steps), and numbered drill sizes from #1 to #60. I checked several of my bits, and every hole was spot on with the markings. It’s easy to check both mm and inch sizes, which saves a lot of time if you work with both kinds of bits. The overall size is about 15 cm by 5 cm (6 inches by 2 inches), so it’s compact enough to toss in a toolbox or even keep in a pocket. For the price, you get an accurate, easy-to-read, and tough tool that’s way more durable than any cheap plastic gauge. PROS: 1.6 mm (1/16 inch) thick PCB board construction for durability Measures metric (1.0 mm to 13.0 mm), imperial (1/16 in to 1/2 in), and numbered drill bits (#1 to #60) Holes are precisely cut and labeled clearly Compact size – 15 cm x 5 cm (6 in x 2 in) Excellent value for the price CONS: None I’ve found so far at this price point SUMMARY This is a sturdy and accurate drill bit gauge that’s great for anyone needing to check both metric and imperial sizes. The build quality is solid for the price, and the measurements are reliable. Definitely recommend this to anyone with a collection of bits where the sizes aren’t marked or have worn off.

Why didn't somebody make this a long time ago?
I have fractional, number, letter and metric drills and inevitably end up with a bin of unsorted bits. I have some gauges, but there are different ones for each family, so I have to go try ALL of them to really figure out what size bit I have. This gauge puts them all in order on one plate. Simple and it works. Also, some of the better gauges I have just have stamped numbers on the steel plate, so not super easy to read. This one has high contrast, easy to read data. The holes seem to be nice and sharp. I have not checked the accuracy, but this one is definitely easier to tell the "fit" than the stamped metal gauges I have. Finally, there is a very nice 4 page set of "instructions". Wait. instructions for a drill gauge? Yeah, but they are well written and informative. I have been doing shop for decades, and knew a lot of it, but still picked up a few useful bits of info. Well worth reading! This is just one of those products that somebody put a lot of thought and care into doing it right. Highly recommended!

Great little tool
I have a bin of bits that are jumbled. I'd like to put them back in their marked slots, but the sizes have rubbed off the bits. First day I got it, I was on the hunt for a 3/16 bit for a project and this worked like a charm. I'm using this to organize the rest of them. Feels quite durable -- it's a thicker, hard plastic with no flex so it's not flimsy.... yet thin enough it will fit in my organizer bin. Frankly, all large sets of bits should come with one of these. Definitely worth the price for me.

Can't believe I never bought one before
Looking through various boxes, I've discovered a lot of drill bits for which I have no idea of size. Trying to see info stamped on the tangs is not always successful, while measuring with a micrometer is not aways convenient. This gauge is an obvious solution. In its favor -- the smallest size is #61. The holes are labeled in mm, fractional inches, and letter/number. The gauge can also be used to check bolt diameters, and there is a notched-out area so that a bolt can be held against the ruler scales without the bolt head getting in the way. The holes are accurate enough to allow differentiating look-alike sizes such as 8mm vs 5/16". I held back a star because the gauge is plastic, although the plastic seems very hard. That, and the largest size the gauge can handle is "P" (8.2mm). It would be nice if the minimum size(s) were smaller than #61, but working with such tiny bits is a world unto itself.

Selected on a whim - elated
I haven’t actually used this yet. Awaiting delivery of a new bulk drill bit indexing chest. However: I am a senior citizen tech guy and I am very pleased with what I see. I imagine that this manufacturer make quality mil spec pc boards for a primary business. This gauge is a great diversification. Sequential sizing is perfect for sorting a vast quantity of drill bits into my new storage system. Easy to read. Nice look / feel. Seems durable enough for its purposes. I’ll try to remember to update after the big (maybe 800 pieces) exercise upcoming. The instruction and tip sheet is an excellent essay. Informative, fun reading You left a minor typo for us to find; and I did ! Unfortunately, I’ve misplaced it. When I find it again I’ll be specific if you need. I might have been even happier if it stretched to 1/2”.
