Im not sure why people complain about this one. Most probably they are not using the proper lighter watt power outlet. This kettle is using 110w on 12v. So you need to make sure that the outlet can support this. If you use lower power it will be slower. And yes it takes long from 20-30 minutes to heat thats normal. However if you plug it to 220v outlet it will use 1100w which will make it fast.

delivery and packaging is great.although the Geepas 12v kettle is horrible, they delivered the product and tested it. once i opened the box there is burning smell coming from the kettle itself. i tried to used it in my car afterwards i’ve smelled something is burning and its the kettle. quality assurance its really bad.

The kettle comes supplied with two power leads, a 12v power lead for using in a vehicle, etc, and also a 240v power lead for normal power socket use, which makes it very handy for a number of uses. The kettle is also very compact, and is smaller than a normal kettle, which although it means that it can boil less water at any one time, it also makes it a lot easier to transport, when travelling, etc.

I've been using another Geepas 0.5 L electric kettle since 2007 and still working. I bought this new one because it can be plugged in my car when I'm travelling and can be plugged in a normal 220 volt power outlet. Very versatile.

We purchased this travel kettle for our recent road trip. It works well, but it does take a good 15mins to boil. It works best with the car turned on or whilst driving (only do this with two people travelling). The exchangeable lead was handy as we could boil water whenever we had a plug available. It's a small size and fits about 2 mugs full of water.
