I do Gyotaku, which is a Japanese art that best translates to "fish rubbing" (Yea yea... I know the jokes) Also I use Fountain pens for business. This works for both! It is permanent so be careful if you decide to rub the bass you just caught, but it works great for it, also works superb with my Cross and other Fountain Pens. It will stain your skin, clothes, and anything else it touches. I do like how this ink is a matte black instead of gloss or semi gloss black as those just look weird to me.

This ink is absolutely stunning. The color is rich, dark, and perfectly matte, giving my artwork a bold professional finish. It flows beautifully from my dip pens and brushes without skipping or clumping. I also love that it’s waterproof once dry, so my linework stays crisp even when I paint over it. It mixes and dilutes easily with water for smooth gray washes, which adds a lot of versatility. The bottle is generous in size and feels like it will last me a long time. Being non-toxic and made in the USA is a big plus too. This is easily the best India ink I’ve ever worked with.

Very good, no nonsense, cheap ink. It's truly dark...like matte black dark...charcoal dark...no light dark.....it's like painting with pure evil, malevolence, and...ddarkness. There is no shine to them...Dries quick, erasers cannot remove them. When it's on it stays on.

I’m pleased to have a waterproof ink, so that I don’t have to worry like I do with my other inks. It’s unfortunate that it arrived with a bunch of ink down one side. I needed a good hand washing afterward. The ink didn’t come my bottle, it came from some other bottle. Great ink, but be mindful of it’s delivery

If applying this to wood, like me, then pre saturate the wood with a small amount of water. This will stop the ink from soaking it and making blotches. Additionally, you can thin the ink out with water and apply it that way. I mix 10% water, 80% water based poly + 10% ink on all following coats. This locks each layer in place and helps create that black depth you are looking for. pictures to come. Also, it says waterproof but for me it is not. I can wash this off my hands pretty easily despite lots of ink being on my hands. If I don't seal each coat on the wood, the current coat will re-wet the prior coat of ink and wash it off. Definitely not water proof.

Tried to color the fabric of a faded stroller with markers. :-(. It was slow and wasteful. Bought ink and used a brush. Fast & beautiful.

I know the ink is good. But man, I’m not too happy with the shipping. Lucky for me it wasn’t a complete disaster, but still quite the mess.
