How to ruin a perfectly well engineered shoe.
One way is to leave parts of the soft plastic on the soles exposed, like they did with this shoe. So that tiny sharp rocks can get stuck and drill holes through the shoe. Of course you can take five minutes each night and remove the stuck objects before they drill completely into the shoe, but who does that really.
