Does exactly what it says, setup was easy both in the Smart Life App and syncing it to the Alexa App, works perfectly.Things to note (Seeing as most low scoring reviews seem to be caused by not setting up correctly or understanding what this device does)Switches: This plug has 3 software switches in the app, 1 for the whole plug, cutting power to both the USB's and 240v Plug Socket, 1 for the 240v Socket and 1 for the USB's to allow full control of all connected items. This is important to note, if you connect the device to the Alexa App, it will say it has found 3 devices, so add them all to Alexa to retain the full control of the plug.Putting it in Pair mode (Flashing Lights): Press the power button on the plug once, once it has lit up, press it and keep it pressed until it switches off, it will switch back on again in a few seconds and then start flashing.Connecting it to your router: This will only connect to a 2.4ghz signal, most new routers (Virgin/BT/Three) have both signals but use one single SSID - this plug will not see the 2.4ghz signal if this is the case. You need to go in to the router settings and rename the 2.4ghz SSID to something else (append 2.4g on the current name?), only then will you be able to single it out and select it for use with the plug.Smart Life App: Its a brilliant fully functional app, but, I prefer Amazon Alexa, so once you have set the device up, just go to your Alexa app, select Add device, choose Smart Life as the maker of the device and the Alexa app will connect to your Smart Life App and retrieve the new plug(s)to use (All 3 previously mentioned switches in the one plug).

I have loads of smart plugs around the house, but none with usb plugs, so I bought this plug for some usb-powered lights I have. The plug was very easy to setup, using the SmartLife app I already had for a different device, and it was discovered by Alexa automatically - with the standard plug and the usb plugs being separate devices as far as Alexa was concerned, so they can be controlled independently of each other.It’s a very useful plug, I’m very pleased with it. These sockets work well and do exactly what they are supposed to do. It took me awhile to realise that the plug part works on a different switch to the USB sockets. This is a good idea as if you only want one you are not turning them both on. However, this isn’t made clear enough and you have to work it out for yourself. The app is a little fiddly to use, but once you get them set up you don’t really need to use it. Once they are all set up and working, there are perfect.

Easy to set up and flexible in use being able to ‘switch’ usb supplies to gadgets in routines is very useful - recommended

After a few weeks of use, the configured on/off schedule would intermittently not apply. Nothing I could do resolved this, and there doesn't seem to be any firmware updates for it either. Contacting the seller didn't help, as they never replied, so Amazon refunded me instead.Replaced with a Tapo unit, which seems reliable so far.

Excellent plugWorking well with “Smart life” app

So far it's brilliant. Alexa turn off Christmas lights. Alexa turn on Christmas lights haha fun and sockets are hard to reach so this plug is the perfect answer.

Hubby bought bedside cabinets with built in lights not realising they connected via usb ports! I purchased two so we could link to Alexa. Just the job!
