We purchased this item for our kids' room. We knew it was not a thick rug, but my wife wanted to return it when she saw it. It is soft, a plus, but thin (because it's machine washable - which is another plus), and it looks nice! The only problem is it is hard to clean with a vacuum cleaner -- something to keep in mind.

Super soft! If you want it to be plusher, it could use a rug pad. Otherwise, it feels great on bare feet. My kids love it for their room. Can't speak to durability yet.
