The One with the Most Information
This is the DVD 'The Iceman' which features 3 parts.1.Conversations with a Killer2.The Iceman: Secrets of a Mafia Hitman3.The Iceman and the Psychiatrist which the other DVD dosen't have on it.This is a documentary that features different people interviewing Richard Kuklinski as he describes his life and crimes. One interview is from around 1991 and the other was taped in 2001. Both are very good and an eye-opening look at anti-social personality disorder...You get to hear Richard Kuklinski giving first hand accounts of life story and contract killings over the years. He describes in a very matter of fact way about his childhood and career as a contract murderer. This basically covers it all. We hear from him about his dysfunctional early home life, his murders, his family and his life with the mafia. We also get to hear about the friend Kuklinski trusted who ended up setting him up and aiding in his capture. This is the better of the iceman DVD's because it features the interview with the psychologist which was very interesting. These were good interviews and a truly interesting and disturbing look into the mind of Richard Kuklinski. Highly Recommended.

The Iceman Was A Stone-Cold Killer.
Richard Kuklinski was evil incarnate. Quite simply, one of the most ruthless, pathological and brutal contract/serial killer. The Iceman was the mob's go-to guy for murder-for-hire. As a non-Italian and non-mobster, Kuklinski became the perfect choice to kill of your mob rivals. Kuklinski was bad from day one, and grew up in a family with lots of issues. This series of interviews will chill your blood. This is no fantasy or slasher film, this is the real deal. Disturbing. You will need a shower after watching this remorseless killer recount his various "jobs." Truly a poster boy for the Death Penalty.

my my, mr kuklinski surely was a busy boy. Chilling is the word. The only thing i can think of to say is that i believe that he was, at the time of these interviews, starting to believe his own legend, and was enjoying himself. The tattoos on his arm show he was proud of his 'grim reaper' reputation, albeit rightly deserved. The details of his home life are somewhat glossed over, in saying that his family were the only thing he ever cared about. I would advise you to read the book : his idea of loving them was to tell them that he would find them the hardest people to kill, if they tried to leave him. Not a detail he reveals in his interviews.....i imagine the book was written afterwards. In any case, such a litany of death is interesting to see, without the glamour and glitz of a film script attached to it. Speaking of which, it would be an impressive subject to do celluloid justice to...........x

Cheap looking packaging, but the interviews are frightening, fascinating, and...tragic
The "Iceman" is obviously a dangerous, deadly individual. In these interviews you hear horrors but damn I found after listening to him for awhile he came across as possibly likeable (!) and I ultimately perceived a deep sadness, not so much ice. I definitely recommend viewing, forensic psychiatrist Park Dietz conducts the interview with a dispassionate insight that is a complement to the subject matter. Compared to his brother, "Iceman" turned out to be exemplary.

EXTRA Chilling, because it's REAL!
I listened to Philip Carlo's audio book, "The Ice Man: Confessions of a Mafia Contract Killer", what an AMAZING story! This DVD kind of 'wrapped up' that whole experience as I could see and hear Richard Kuklinski speak about many of the crimes detailed in the book. It was interesting to hear what was written in the book from Mr. Kuklinski's own lips, in his own accent. This DVD contains both HBO's interviews ("The Iceman Tapes: Conversations with a Killer", and "The Iceman: Secrets of a Mafia Hitman") with Richard Kuklinski, from 1991 (five years after his 1986 arrest) and 2001, as well as his interview with renowned psychiatrist Dr. Park Dietz ("The Iceman and the Pyschiatrist").A must see (and hear) if you enjoyed the book.

An in depth view of a sociopath
The "Iceman Interviews" contains three interviews of Richard "The Iceman" Kuklinski at Trenton Prison, a maximum security prison in NJ. Kuklinskiwas a hired hit-man for the Mafia who enjoyed his work and attempted toelaborate on it. His victims fell prey to cyanide, a crossbow, rats ina cave and were often random prey as well as Mafia targets. It is the coldand cool countenance of Kuklinski that makes the tape. He is not upset bywhat he has done, describes killing in a matter of fact way and fulfillsall the criteria for the diagnosis "sociopath". It is riveting to watch and offers a view of a type of killer not often seen.

Iceman will leave you cold
I bought this DVD after reading the thoroughly researchced and excellent true crime book, The Ice Man, written by Philip Caputo. The book chronicled the story of Richard Kuklinski, a hit man who purportedly killed over 200 people, many of them contract hits, including the neighbor who accidentally killed John Gotti's son. I was fascinated by the coldness and detachment of Kuklinski, and was eager to hear his voice, as Caputo did such a wonderful job of conveying it's tone, painting a picture of a normal man who contained this impassive ability to kill without remore, over and over again. The problem is, the tapes (there are 3 separate documentaries) don't touch on anywhere near the amount of mayhem the book does. Also, the second doc in the DVD is nothing more than a compilation and recut of the first one. I recommend skipping it and watching 1 and 3. The third, The Iceman and the Psychiatrist, is chilling. When the doctor makes a remark that Kuklinski doesn't like, the killer looks at him and says, "You almost made me mad there." There's palpable tension in his face. i would say that if you're interested in true crime, read the book first and if like me, you just want to hear the killer's voice, see how huge and menacing he could look (6' 5", 300+ lbs!) then you'll enjoy The Iceman Interviews. Just don't expect to learn anything new.

Fascinating, Fully Compiled
If you wish to view all three Kuklinski interviews, this is the package to pursue, as it features all three. One ought to read Philip Carlo`s excellent book on Kuklinski, "The Iceman", to place these interviews and all information therein in proper context. Reading it before watching the interviews, I had several insights into the subject`s thought processes, as well as context from which to perceive him.

Ýou get 3 HBO series in one complete Disc! good offer!,
Cold as ice. better than you, thats how he wanted. thats how he wanted to.This man is A significant study of a paranoid psychopath, which did his hits (lone wolf method style mostly)His mimic around the mouth is typical psychopathic, notice this in the interviews.Well his a solid build killer machine, but now behind bars.Hear what he got to say. You might be a bit surprised!I study Psychopaths in my surveys and his elite type of a kind, separating two existences, from family and blunt remorseless hits at once, almost a psychological splitting? But absolutely coherent (as most psychopaths not emotionally disturbed or foolish in his impulses) A cold minded individual, better not be his friend, those he killed, paranoia and rationality takes over again. But the only one he didn't kill got him behind bars! THIS PERSON IS AMAZING TO OBSERVE, THINK ABOUT WHAT HE GOT AWAY WITH?
