What country is this made in?

Made in Malaysia. I recommend it for an inexpensive basic phone. Panasonic design, big buttons and some speaker capability.

Does the speaker announce who is ringing in? Trying to avoid elderly mother with poor eyeseight having to try to see the display.

I have never tried it on speaker but I also have poor eyesight and this is very easy for me to see who is calling. The definition is very good with a white backround and black print. I would definitely purchase it again.
