Lone Star Original Beef Jerky - 8 oz Resealable Bag - Classic Handcrafted Flavor - Made in the USA

So far I have tried 3 flavors (original, black pepper, and bourbon) of the lone star jerky, and have enjoyed them all.Original- Standard salty flavor, with a small bit of black pepper to give it just a touch more flavor. Very dry and tough texture, which is a big pro in my book. If you prefer a tougher, more chewy jerky, this is a great starting point.Black Pepper- same flavor and texture as the original, with more black pepper kick. Again, nothing out of the ordinary here, just a good, solid, enjoyable jerky. I'd say it has just the right amount of pepper to have a solid flavor, without being too peppery.Bourbon- this has a very good, mildly sweet flavor, which tastes great. I have read some reviews saying they occasionally have gotten a bag that had a bit more fat and grease to the jerky, and this bag had that. Because of this the jerky was softer (the bourbon marinade they use for this flavor may have a hand in this as well) but overall it is still pretty good. If this was as dry and tough as the others, I would have definitely given it 5 stars.Overall this is a very good jerky for those that prefer a dry and tough jerky. The flavors are great, and if you want jerky that doesn't immediately disappear when you start chewing, this is a great option.

If you like to chew it for a while and take your time while you watch a movie or play video games then this is it. If your trying to stuff it down on a 10 minute break it might be challenging.

I liked this jerky, but it is very heavy on the black pepper. I found I would eat a few pieces and that would be enough. But over all it was good, and as long as you like that type of flavor it is a fine product.

Too chewy for my liking but the flavor was pretty good.

I generally only like teriyaki beef jerky. Sometimes I'll go for "sweet and spicy." This tastes like a barbecue flavor, and I'd have to say I'm pretty disappointed with that. I know it mentioned it had a Texas-twist to teriyaki, but I figured I'd taste at the very least a hint of teriyaki. And if it's going to taste like barbecue, I'd prefer it mention that.For the price I paid, I pretty bummed and hope there's some kind of refund/exchange thing I can partake in.

I bought the pepper jerky and OMG! I'm obsessed with it..I've bought two bags and about to buy another. Worth the money!

I was not super impressed with this jerky. I go for the more dried out, hard to chew jerky and this just wasn't it. If you're looking for thicker, moist, and sticky jerky, this is it. It did have good flavor though!

i got the peppered jerky and it is so yum and flavorful. yummay
