decent trim piece for the price
if you are installing a stereo in your car, than you need this. it is decent but not the best. Most of the people who look at my install say it's nicely done because they don't know what to look for. The color doesn't match perfectly with the trim in the car. also it doesn't line up perfectly with the interior trim either. they are gaps here and there, and the trim sits higher in some spots and lower at others. The trim kit has tabs that allow the stereo to move forward and back, but it will never be flush with the trim. The plastic is very flimsy, almost to the point that if someone wanted to steal my stereo, they could easily snap it off and gain access to the screws that hold my stereo in. Would I buy it again? yes, because to get it to look perfect would cost $100 more in factory parts.

Well worth the price
To start, I like many others had a difficult time removing the metal factory bracket since the screws are threadlocked. Not sure why it is a big deal the brackets are plastic. When installed properly these mounts hold my radio and air controls just fine. Everything lined right up and feels solid. I used the screws provided with the kit for the radio and recycled the air control screws from the original bracket. This kit provides a excellent alternative to the stubborn factory bracket with the threadlocked screws. Fyi I installed a double din unit with this kit, double din size was perfect. We'll worth the price and ease of installation.

Universal kit best fit.
Iโm so happy with this new universal dash kit. First of all it fits perfectly, matches the dash and if I get a double den radio I donโt have to buy a new kit just remove the pocket. I did waist money on the other kit ๐คช.

Great look, flimsy plastic
Used this for my '02 Nissan Maxima GXE to replace the double DIN factory radio with a single DIN Kenwood head unit. The bracket fit fine, and after reading other reviews I was concerned about the flimsy plastic. However, I quickly discovered that you don't NEED to use the plastic brackets (they're exactly the same as the factory metal brackets). I simply recycled my original metal brackets and used only the supplied pocket/HU framing, and you could never tell the difference. This offers a really clean look. I'd have given 5 stars, but it's a little pricey if you're simply using the pocket/framing.

Looks Good
I bought this item to install a double-din headunit in my 02 Maxima. I must say that the appearance of the trim piece looks great and is almost a perfect match to the stock trim. My only 'issues' w/ this item are that the plastic brackets are a bit flimsy. Additionally, while it looks good as a whole, the top of the trim-piece that fits just below my a/c vents somehow causes the a/c vent to 'pop' outward slightly. I have had ppl ride in my car and comment how 'clean' the unit looks so they don't even really notice but since I installed it I do.

OK product but avoid the brackets if you can
The face bezel fits ok on a Boss 6.2 inch head unit, just slightly loose. And color match dash color of 2002 Maxima SE. However, the plastic brackets are pieces of junk. They are very flimsy, much thicker than original metal bracket, and doesn't align as good as stock bracket. After installation, the entire AC control and head unit is about 2mm higher than original position. The old Clarion unit was screwed so tight on stock metal bracket that I broke a screwdriver bit (after spray WD-40) and couldn't take it off. If you can take the stock bracket off, I suggest to use the metal brackets rather than this one.
