Nice Package Deal
Big difference on Garmin from just a few years ago. Bluetooth among other things. This 1 is relatively easy to set up and use.. Nice bundle deal also, portable charging block and carrying case! Nice Technically cheaper (or not much more $$$) for this package VS just the Garmin unit .

Plain vanilla GPS with minimal detail.
This is a very plain GPS that has almost no geographical detail. For hikers, it does list almost every little town, but it does not indicate whether those towns have any amenities. Very compact. Programming waypoints is tedious, requiring repeated heavy button presses.

Get latest software
Small and long battery life. (Works well by itself) When paired with Bluetooth to my phone to get map views, it would restart intermittently. I contacted support with a full description of the problem and they asked me to upload data from my etrex. After a few days they have released version 4.2 software that corrects the problem. I am pleased with their support. Get the latest software if you are experiencing problems.
