The most versatile, quick and simple cooking appliance that I could find.
My beloved wife passed away 2 years ago from pancreatic cancer. I miss her immensely and also miss her delicious cooking. While I have cooked for myself on and off during my 74 years of life, my wife was a genius in the kitchen.. She could cook anything and turn it into a feast. After her passing, as I tried to again familiarize myself with MY WIFE'S KITCHEN, I realized she had about one of every type of food preparation utensil known to woman or man, and she knew how to use them all efficiently and effectively. As for me... I was totally lost as to what to use when, or how. I soon realized that I only needed a few simple kitchen appliances and utensils to start cooking for myself..I started my search to find the most versatile, quick and simple cooking appliance that I could find. Something that I could easily learn to use and that could replace much of the stuff in the kitchen that I had no idea how to use. In early May 2018, after weeks of research and reading hundreds of articles and reviews I settled on purchasing the 6-quart Mealthy MultiPot 9-in-1 Programmable Pressure Cooker.. It sells on Amazon for a few pennies less than 100-bucks and included a nice assortment of accessories. Currently it is rated at 4.9-Stars with 488 reviews. I also bought the Mealthy glass lid for the pot - it is see-though, great for slow-cooker and non-pressure recipes, and less cumbersome to use and clean than the standard lid.Because it is so simple to use, easy to clean up, and makes great meals, the Mealthy MultiPot is now my primary means of preparing meals, steaming veggies, making soups & stews, making oatmeal, hard boiling eggs, you-name-it. I find that individual servings are easy using the "Pot In Pot" method suggested by ThisOldGal sites.. Incidentally, I also pretty much get most of my recipes from the ThisOldGal sites.. I am just really getting into using the MultiPot but I love it and I am confident that my skills will improve with time.Since getting my MultiPot, I have managed to remove about 3/4 of all the cooking appliances and utensils that were formerly in my kitchen and I now have more space for new clutter, and even food preparation.. Things are moving in the right direction and this MultiPot has definitely helped me in getting my life together. As a side note, regarding these types of cooking pots, it appears that most of the inside-the-pot accessories for most of the 6-quart pots will work in other brands of 6-quart pots. By example, I liked and bought the Hatrigo Instant Pot Accessories 6 qt Steamer Basket, rated at 4.8 Stars out of 1200+ reviews, and it fits my MultiPot perfectly. This basket cleans up easily and works great for steaming veggies - even beets, hard boiling eggs, etc..While I have never used the Instant Pot, or any other similar brands, I am very happy with my 6-quart Mealthy MultiPot 9-in-1 Programmable Pressure Cooker.. I would buy it again and recommend it to others..

Excellent Quality - Tested and Verified - Money Well Spent
I am a consumer who appreciates her money being well spent, it's certainly well earned. In no way am I sponsored or treated to anything special.I also meal prep during weekends, otherwise I'm driving through fast food restaurants all week which has got to come to a stop. I need something easy and efficient. This review is a lil long, but I try to be thorough with practical user experience.I love this device. It performs well. It looks nice. It is well made. This is my first time using a multipot / pressure cooker. However, it's not my first time cooking. I'm a fan of well made cooking utensils and I don't mind spending a little extra if I think the tool will serve its purpose, is comfortable to use and it will last a reasonable amount of time (whatever that may be), and not difficult to store when not in use. Turns out this device is cheaper than its major competitor and I'm storing it on my kitchen counter. If anything, it makes my kitchen look nicer and it has a tidy footprint.I researched for 2 months before pulling the trigger with purchasing this device. I'm not sure how I came across the MealthyPot, but I am so very glad I did.I used my new MealthyPot for the first time today. I received it earlier this week but held off opening the box (double-boxed!) as I wasn't looking forward to reading through directions and facing a time consuming setup.LOL! I was wrong. Super easy setup. The directions will walk you through steaming water so that you become familiar with pot's functions. I had already washed the pot with soap and water but it was nice to steam water as it ensured my pot was clean.I then proceeded to make a keto-friendly beef bourguignon. This required using the Saute function.1. Brown cut bacon until crispy - remove from pot.2. Brown cubed beef on all sides - remove from pot.3. Saute onions, celery and mushrooms, adding crushed garlic - Remove from pot.3. Add wine, broth and tomato paste - all the yummy, stuck-on bits came up with a wooden spoon. Yep, all of them. The Meat/Stew function1. Add meat, bacon, veggies back into pot2. Place lid on and turn to close.3. Press Meat/Stew button. Adjust timer for 30 minutes.30 minutes?! Yep.Release ValveWhen the multipot completes its timed cooking the device beeps.Move the release valve level to 'release'. Let it release until the lil red button comes down. BTW, nicely made button. The release valve is loose, it's supposed to be. It also surprises me with how much steam is released (in a fairly narrow stream) which made me jump back and sorta yelp, even though it's placed safely at the back of the device.ResultsMy doggy is standing in the kitchen wagging his tail while literally licking his chops. heheThe meat was very tender without being mushy and guess what...it tasted like beef (not some sort of dried out, hay-like mass) It has amazing flavor, the meat is tender and I was able to divide the larger pieces of beef with a spoon yet they still hold shape (while in the bowl I'm eating out of).1. The inner pot is well made. It has a thick bottom and it heated evenly during multiple browning and sauteing.2. The functionality of the buttons are straight forward and easy to read and use.3. The top is easy to place and feels secure when in closed position.4. The power cord is a good length. Longer than my crockpot but not too long so that I struggle to keep it neat on the counter. It's diameter is thicker than most cords. Sturdy.5. Inner pot cleans up well.6. I like the beeps. They're friendly, not too loud or grating and they're purposeful. So today I used a new recipe with 1 Pot and 1 cutting board. The star of the show (the beef!) tasted amazing. AMAZING.Clean up took no time at all. I did not have to soak the pot and it cleaned up beautifully (I let it cool down first). It's official, I am throwing away (ok, donating) my slow cooker which is big, bulky and a PITA to clean.Thank you Mealthy. Your multipot device is well thought out and well made.P.S. I appreciate the accessories that came with the device. Those mitts rock!
