Brilliant concept and cool artwork, bought the following volumes immediately after reading this one!

This is a very interesting concept. Like where the is headed.

Beautiful comic. Amazing potential. But you should know that this story doesn't go anywhere. And the characters aren't so good that you'll literally follow them wandering around seemingly aimlessly. The story never ends or accomplishes anything. I would have rather bought a different series. Like Locke and Key maybe.

What would you do if your pet or the animals of the world gained sentience? Would the world be basked in sing-alongs of your pet talking to you as an equal?The answer is a resounding no. Animosity hits the ground running when all animal life for no reason one day, has human intelligence and goes straight into "Planet of the Apes". Animals are raging against humans and humans are on the fence with what to do besides fighting against them. The main characters are a girl and her dog that are the representatives for this story as it goes into the big ethics of equality and what makes one a person and not something labeled out right.It get's pretty heavy with who you would be "good guy" or "bad guy" as like with life become somewhat blurred with different perspectives. Though I do like the morality of this and Marguerite Bennett shows her writing chops once again which leaves me blown. She's become a fan favorite of mine as I enjoy whatever she writes!This deserves a read but this isn't for kids; it has killing and rather bleak. I'd say one should be a teenager to read this before going through the rabbit hole. Sorry, had to get in an animal joke somehow.Good material and this compiles issues one through four along with the tie in to Animosity called "The Rise" which explores different characters from the science side of the rise of animals.Looking forward to the second compiled volume of this awesome-heavy thinking series!

Sembra scritto per diventare un film. Buon plot. Carini alcuni personaggi, ma devo dire che per assurdo mi è piaciuto di più lo spin-off The rise che non la serie principale.Una buona lettura.

Bueno, el número 1 me ha gustado y pienso seguir la serie. El esquema del guión es típico: un despertar, en este caso, los animales se rebelan, un The Walking Dead tuneado. No revelo nada (con v) porque desde el principio se sabe. El desarrollo está bien, con cambios en el tiempo que van explicando los porqués. espero que no sea la típica serie eterna y que acabe cuando tiene que acabar. Los dibujos no son mi estilo, por supuesto es una cuestión de gustos personales y estoy seguro que a mucha gente les gustará... a mi no.En definitiva, correcta pero no para tirar cohetes.
