I have only used it a couple of times but I love it. The numbers are easy to read, it works throughout 180 degrees and the numbers even reorient (flip upside right) if you are using your left hand. It reads the temperature very quickly and has a magnet in it to stick to your metal grilling shelf.

I bought this because I thought it was the whole package... Fast reading.. water proof... And had a backlit rotating screen. After 4 uses water seeped in. The readings are now erroneous.

Very happy with how quickly you get a Tempature and my 40 years of cooking never had one this good. That's why I thought it was time I bought a new good one! I'm disappointed that less than 30 days (writing this 42 days after receiving) of using product, it became harder to open and this band is sticking out. Also, disappointed that the return time was the day before delivery! I would like a replacement and try again. I do love it! Giving a 4 due to no exchange or request for new one to be sent. I just got a lemon.

I do get the accurate readings of the temp within usually a second or so. It is bright enough to read in the day or night time. It has a decent magnet (it SHOULD be stronger at this price point) but it does work fine. It can be used right/left-handed, it is accommodating. The battery should last you for years to come. The overall waterproofing is amazing.I am confident that this is one of the best, if not, THE BEST Meat Thermometer you should get if you love cooking a good juicy steak at the comfort of your own home. (I love Medium rare/ Medium Steak) You should give both the meat thermometer and Medium temp a good try.
