Great for small projects!
It's very small and did not realize just how small when I purchased it. However, I bought this in particular for detailing small Basswood carvings. The size and power is good enough for that. I do not know how it performs on any other types of materials. At the time of this review, I could make no comment on the duration of battery life on one full charge. Functionality and ease of use is good. One issue is the chuck and hex key used to set the bits, along with the bits themselves are very small. That may prove cumbersome to someone with limited hand and finger dexterity.

Wish I’d gotten one sooner
I use this to mark template material for fabric appliqué. So much easier to use than a plug-in model. Fairly quiet and does not go through the mylar material.

For the price is good
Lots of grinder sizes, some circular saws and drill bits. The tiny ball tip one worked best for aluminum card writing. Had to take brakes during writing, really tough on your hand muscles and forarm, but that's probably just the nature of this engraving. If you have better tips may work easier. Best for wood or plastic. 3 speeds, not as fast as an airpowered but that's like apples to oranges.

Great For Home Use
I wouldn't consider this for commercial use, but for light duty use around your home, this is a great little tool! Lightweight, and pretty ergonomically designed. It fits in my hand great, and I have small hands. It's easy to use, but does come with a learning curve if you haven't used an engraving pen before. I've only had it for a few days but I've already engraved several items in wood and metal. Great for school aged kids to make sure their name is on their things (like water bottle, lunch box, etc). It comes with a ton of different tips, which is perfect. Overall, a great little household tool!

Perfect!
I bought this tool to engrave a stethoscope & name tag as a gift for my wife who just finished RN school. This tool is perfectly sized, well-built, and performs very smoothly. I will definitely have this tool for years. Battery life is also very good.

Works but won't charge
It's a great size and seems to do what I need it to do, with the exception that it won't recharge. The port is crunchy when being plugged in so I assume the port is faulty.

Clay tool
I've been using this on polymer clay for fine details. It's the right amount of power where is can grind off imperfections but not so gritty it chews up the clay. The bits do become clogged with clay after a while so I have to wash them but soap and water cleans them out, and they're good to go again.
