Q: I would be really grateful if someone who has bought this lovely stair basket could tell me how high the stair bit of the basket is? Many thanks :)

It is 17cm not quite big enough for my stairs so it is at a bit of angle.

Q: Would an A4 folder fit in it?

A piece of A4 paper fits but only in the centre so if you mean a cardboard folder, it would probably be a tight fit and you could only get one in.

Q: How high does the stairs have to be for this to fit?

Our house was built in 1972 so I would say it fits most stairs. One of the best purchases I have made in recent years, very handy and looks good at the foot of the stairs. If you are guilty of stock piling until you go upstairs it is extremely useful.

Q: Is this made in the UK?

No, it isn't made in The UK. It states in the description that it's made in China. Most things are, these days. I presume a UK handcrafted basket like this would cost around £80.
