Excellent phone for older people
The phone was bought for my father inlaw who has brain damage issues. Only uses it to make and answer calls but is brilliantly easy to use for him. He is also hard of hearing and the volume is loud enough for him to hear perfectly well. He has a habit of breaking things and these phones are built to last. He had his last one for several years. Well worth buying and great vakue for money

Bought for my mum
I'm giving this phone 5 stars as its so easy to use. Mum has taken her time getting used to it. But I think she's finally getting there. It's a lovely big light phone. Nice display. Loud volume (which is good for mum) and was easy for me to set it all up for her. I'd happily have this phone. If all you want to do is call or text its perfect. Just need to have a few more lessons with mum!!

Great little basic phone, just one drawback
If you want a phone that is easy to set up and use and nothing fancy, this is for you. Good loud ring tone and easy for texting. Just one drawback, the buttons are raised and if I have the phone in my pocket they tend to get pressed inadvertently, setting off a warning beep. I cannot find a suitable case to fit this phone, and the slip in type leather ones are no help. Shame, as this is a really good basic phone apart from that.

Power adapter overheats and cuts out
I bought the phone for an 85 year old friend who doesn't like modern smart phones. He is happy with it and finds it much easier to use. Haven't had a chance to see how long the battery lasts or to use all the features yet. However one big problem with this phone is the charger. It overheats when plugged into the phone and cuts out until it's unplugged and allowed to cool down. It's rated around 550 ma which is about the same as another charger I have and used to charge the battery without any problems. It also overheats when I tried it on another phone. This is potentially DANGEROUS so I gave my friend a spare charger and contacted Doro about it, as I purchased it from the official Doro store on Amazon. They've never replied so I'm not impressed by their customer service. I could have sent the whole thing back for exchange but that could take ages and my friend was waiting for the phone. I've also had bad experiences with sending things back through official methods and them never getting back to Amazon or at least not being credited to me. In fairness Amazon does eventually refund me when contacted but you have to wait several weeks. All I was hoping for was Doro would offer to send me a replacement charger.

A sturdy little phone
Brought for my girlfriend who can't use a smart phone due to having three strokes, which have left her with bilateral shakes which makes touch screens a no no. She also has had cataracts in both eyes, had both lenses replaced, which has permanently affected her vision. This phone answers all her needs. It is small with a clear display, excellent keyboard (so rare these days). It is well constructed, robust and bounces well when she drops it. As she is a prolific texter a strong keyboard was essential and this neat little phone does an excellent job. She's very pleased with it.

A very good phone at a very good price
Bought this for my 84 year old mom who has used a Doro in the past. When it broke she attempted my old iPhone but it was too much for her so we’re happy to go back to a Doro. She likes that she can feel the buttons and that it’s possible to adjust the size of the text to make it easier to read. She also likes that she will be able to use the internet on it when she’s more used to it. The downside is that the sound isn’t as loud as she needs. She also struggles with the predictive text but she’s getting better. She would also like a decent cover for it which doesn’t seem to exist!

Cheap and practical.
Sometimes you have to backwards to go forward, this device certainly keeps 'big brother' at arms length.
