I Want to Go Home

A favorite as a kid, still love it as an adult
I bought this book to share with my younger daughter (my older one read, then lost, my copy from the 1980s). Although there were a couple of minor passages either edited or strangely absent, it was overall the same story that I remembered and still made me laugh out loud. And to think that Gordon Korman was only 17 when he wrote it!It's a great story for anybody who's ever been to camp, or loves someone who has been.

Highly Recommend for something funny and age appropriate to read.
My favorite book as a child. Extremly funny. I recommend the other books in this series as well. The author was my favorite writer as a child.

SO funny-I loved this book and now my son loves it, too!!!!
This was a book my sisters and I loved and read to rags back in the eighties. I was sad to see it is out of print, but luckily was able to snag these used copies. My son loves it and has read it a few times (I got this when he was 8-now almost 11). We sent another copy to our nephew and he loves it, too.The story has so many elements that appeal to kids: two social misfits,Rudy and Mike, meet at summer camp, no adults except for the counsellors (deemed "clones" by Rudy) and a distracted camp director, and a summer filled with their attempts to escape Camp Algonquin with hilarious results.I remember wishing I knew boys like Rudy and Mike, too.The Bruno and Boots series is also a favorite for my son.

This book is funny!! I remembered loving it when I was a kid. So, I ordered it and read it aloud to my kids. They loved it too. Cane as expected, no problems or surprises.

Great book, really funny!
This was my favorite book as a kid and I bought two copies of it now - one for my future kids and one for my nephew. I would recommend this to any kid age 7-15. It is so funny! I read this book at least 50 or 60 times. I wish it were still in print!

Hilariously funny
A comedic look at a perfect person's attempts to escape camp. And all the chaos that follows him.

worth it
I bought this book because I was going to an author signing, and it did get to me in time (though it took a little longer than I expected), so I'm happy.

Cute Book!
Looking at the cover, I thought this book was going to be too young a reading level for my 10 year old. It was assigned through a book club.He absolutely loves it! He has been laughing constantly and has actually intrigued my 7 year old to read it as well.
