Worked as expected.
The product arrived rapidly due to Amazon's great shipping service. I was able to connect to WiFi after unpacking the camera. Installation was simple and straight forward. I did appreciate the extra length of power cord which I needed to hook up the power. After mounting the camera, I was able to connect and use the camera normally. The picture is excellent, and the night vision works great too.The tricky part is getting the motion detection to work as the user needs it to. It took me a few days to adjust the camera angle and the sensitivity of the motion detection. The zoning capability was a great help. The camera allows a 45 degree manual vertical rotation of the camera, which is a great help after mounting the camera. It is difficult to guess the correct way to aim the camera while trying to insert screws! It would be nice if they could figure out a way to allow manual horizontal rotation as well, to further assist with the aiming adjustments.

Good camera, quality and features, mediocre night vision.
Been using this camera for a few weeks now and am happy with it overall. What I like:- I added a 32GB SD card, which is giving me about a week of recordings- The Reolink viewing/configuration software for Windows, as well as Android.- The 4x Optical Zoom with auto-focus works well when I've used it.- Video recordings and live display quality are good.- Nice having the camera be connected over wifi so I didn't have to run a network cable. It does require power ran to it, though.Things I didn't like:- Installation was a bit of a pain: it was hard to screw in the camera while dealing with the globe being attached. The security key used to screw in the dome screws was very short, so, it hit the dome every time you rotated the key.- Night vision works ok, but is not great. As mentioned by another reviewer, the dome reflects some of the IR light, which washes out the side of the image at nightWish list:I wish this camera had panning capabilities in addition to zooming. I see the RLC-423WS does have pan/tilting, but is also ~$120 more.Would I recommend this camera? Yes, I would, unless you're looking for great night vision.

The detection algorithm stinks and this is not one of there best.
This is the second Reolink I have purchased with the 1st being 410W. The 410w is a very good camera and would rate it easier to install and setup. (update - after using the 422w for a number of weeks it is much weaker than the 410w. The 410w will snap a picture of the event so it is much easier to review. The pics of the 422w many times just snaps multiple stills that are meaningless. The 422w grid for purposes of outline the area you want it to generate alarms on is useless) The 422w has many shortcomings. It is very difficult to affix to the building. You have unscrew the lid and then reach unnormal screw holes to install. The daytime picture is very clear. The nighttime vision has cleared up and is much clearer than the 410w. The algorithm just plane sucks with this camera. No matter how much you adjust it will capture anything that passes the lens. I have changed the sensitivity and the masked area. Nothing seems to work with this camera. I have the ftp set up through my router writing to ssd usbs and this was the worst to setup with this camera. The other major problem is the Wifi connection. I live in a small house and the ability to connect to the router was near impossible.Stay away from this camera until they fix the Wifi and the algorithm with regard to detection! It writes crap like this to my SSD card that I am utlizing to capture additonal vids. Or write this many files with the Vid file being of my street and nothing else.

A quality camera with some major drawbacks.
Overall, a very solid camera but has some critical flaws that keep it from being an outright recommendation.--- Pros ---1. Image quality is good. There image is a bit noisy but the 5 MP makes it clear.2. Software support is good. Both the web interface and phone app are well done. Although, the web interface doesn't have as much features as the phone app.3. Aluminum solid body is great. Not really seen at this price point.4. Excellent price.-- Cons ---1. 64 GB storage limitation is biggest flaw. Recording at 5mp isn't really feasible in high traffic areas. I can't get over a week of footage in my scenario. When competitors like Amcrest offers 128 GB support on many of their cameras, it borders on a design flaw to have such a huge resolution camera and such a minimal amount of storage. 256 GB should of been the starting point. You almost have to have an NVR with this camera.2. Wireless seems to be a tad finicky. Despite two fairly large antennas, they cameras detect a weak signal. From the same locations, my phone and laptop detects a much higher DB signal for the same wifi. Despite this, the connection seems stable.3. Auto infrared needs tuning. The infrared turns on despite good light levels. One of my cameras has a light 3 ft in front of it and the infrared still turns on all day. So I have to turn it off and it sees nothing when the lights are off. There is no setting to adjust the sensitivity of this feature.(edit) 4. The ONVIF support of this camera appears to be limited. I'm trying to setup motion detection on a non-Reolink NVR (hikvision) and ONVIF motion events are not supported. I verified this using the free "ONVIF Device Manager" tool, which reports that this camera doesn't generate any events. ONVIF push/pull event subscription notifications appear to not be implemented on this camera. A huge letdown.Overall, a very good camera for the price. I just wish they put more thought into non-nvr storage and ONVIF events. Maybe it can be addressed with firmware?
