Q: Is this container air tight?

It seems to be I have had no issues with it

Q: In one place it says it holds 2 lbs and in another it says 5-6 lbs. Which is correct?

It is a small container I would say 2 lbs I have never weighted it but I don't use it now the squirrels can knock the top off of it so I use a food grade bucket with a gamma lid on it and the squirrels have not found a way to get in it yet and I can keep it outside

Q: Can rain water get inside?

No, the top is solid with no holes in the lid. There are holes in the side where the handle is attached. I would not want to put it outside in the elements. It is a really cute tin and is on the counter with my dog treats as this only holds the food for our canary, not outside birdseed. I am not sure how well it would survive out in the elements.

Q: Is is roodent proof? I want to leave it in my screened porch.

It should be rodent-proof, the lid is a tight fit with the rubber seal. I have to pull it pretty hard to get the lid off, I don't believe a rodent would be able to open it.
