solid SPP and BLE in one device, no flakiness on mac like with hc-05
So far this item is working nice and solid with mac SPP connection. I tried a few older modules HC-05, HC-06, HM-10, flywoo nano bt v2 and only one was usable and it was flaky with Mac and iPhone.I tested one of the pair I received: - connects faster than others and with name showing (not "generic") in mac bluetooth discovery - AT command configuration worked - Only module that can turn off pairing password prompt, nice! (others can at best use default 0000) - I dig the separate SPP and BLE names for debugging. Commands need to be in capitals ("AT", not "at"). - smaller and lighter than HC-05 and HC-06, about half in footprint area and weightSo I'd say if you are looking for bluetooth module with the best SPP experience, or with compatibility with the most devices new and old, this module is it! Price was also quite good, 2 for 9.I'm not sure why these are not more widely discussed and preferred. If I find some fault I will try and remember to update this with that info.
