Excellent product
I wanted to make English Muffins and needed rings. After reading reviews, I decided that Patisse and Mermaid brand rings looked like the best choices. I was not sure which would be better, so I ordered 1 pkg of each. They are both well-made, high quality products. They have nicely rolled edges, and are sturdy and do not bend under normal pressure. They sit flat in the pan.The Patisse are sold by a Dutch company. No indication if they are made there, or possibly someplace else. The metal is shiny stainless steel, and they have a seam, which may or may not cause problems in the future. So far, none. They come in a thin, flimsy clear plastic(?) box, which can be used to store them. Advertised as dishwasher-safe.The Mermaid brand are made in China. The metal is a brushed aluminum, and they have no seam, which seems to me to be a good thing. They are packed on a cardboard backing with a piece of plastic over them, which you tear off to get to the product. To store them, I cut the cardboard in half (to fit the bag), slipped them into a gallon ziplock bag, and then covered the rings with the plastic that had been torn off when I opened the pkg. There is a recipe for crumpets on the back. Hand-wash only. I don’t like using aluminum cookware, for possible health risks, but that’s just me.The Patisse (3 1/8” x 1”) is 1/8” wider, and 1/8” deeper than the Mermaid (3”x7/8”) (all inside dimensions).Unless stainless vs. aluminum matters to you, or shiny vs. dull, or ‘made in China’ vs. ‘made in Holland’(?maybe), or the 1/8” size difference, or seam vs. no seam, I can’t see that it matters much which one you buy. To me they are equal in quality. They both washed up equally well. I oiled them both with Avocado oil and my English muffins stuck to both. I oiled them next time with lard and sprinkled them with cornmeal and there was no sticking at all.I’ve read that English muffins are three to four inches in diameter. So this will make muffins on the smaller end of the scale. I think 3” is perfect. But if you want a 4” English muffin, these won’t do.My only reservation is that my muffins were so perfect they seemed to lack character, and almost looked strange, like hockey pucks. (But tasted fine.) I’m posting this review under both products.

These Crumpet rings will always remind me of the first time I had Crumpets with my sweetheart.
As a person living in the US, I’ve unfortunately never had Crumpets before. When my sweetheart mentioned she missed having crumpets brought to her by her late Aunt who would bring them to her from England when she’d visit, I made a promise that I would surprise her with them someday. So on Valentine’s Day 2020, I ordered these (the solid design and rolled edges appealed to me) and I made my first batch of Crumpets ever for her using the recipe on the back of the package. I learned what “Castor” sugar was, and how to grind normal sugar into the finer grain to emulate it, and I made my first batch! They did not have the amazing holes that crumpets are apparently known for, and some were burnt, but that’s 100% on me. I mean it was my very first time, so I’ll give myself a break. I’ll get ir right down the road because I’m stubborn and because she deserves it. But as for the rings, they were great. I mean, they’re just rings of metal but well made. But I can tell you that every time I look at them I will remember our Valentine’s Breakfast and the very first time I had a crumpet.

Well made crumpet rings
Well made crumpet rings nicer than steel - not as big as the crumpets I buy in the uk but they work perfectly well

Crumpet Rings - well-made with a great recipe. Fun more than functional
I am partial to crumpets but they are harder and harder to find. In NYC it seems that only Trader Joe's and Garden of Eden still carry them, which is great - neither are far from me. But I decided to try and make my own (I am occasionally ambitious). These rings are simple but really well-made (there are 4 in the package). They also come with a great recipe (which can be easily found on line, as well). So I am happy but probably won't use them as often as I duck into one of the above-mentioned stores on my way home from work.

Appear unused and high-quality
This was clearly a previously opened package but the rings appear to be unused. I will keep them as they appear unused and high-quality (rust resistant) aluminum

Worth the price
There are cheaper crumpet rings but the negative reviews about the sturdiness made me choose these. Not made out of bendable tin, these are thick heavyweight rings. At first I was disappointed that they are not quite one inch high, but after overfilling them a bit I found out the bubbles will not form if you make your crumpets too thick. These released quickly after cooking and are very easy to cean.

Love, love, LOVE this product!
Extremely pleased with my crumpet rings. As a Brit living in America, crumpets are hard to come by and so far those that I've found just aren't quite right so I decided to try making them myself and after a few disastrous batches, I think I've perfected! And these rings look like they did they day I bought them. Very easy to clean and definitely do the job well.

They were wonderful. No sticking
Made crumpets for the first time as soon as I received the rings. Used the recipe on the package. They were wonderful. No sticking. They were light and tasty. The most amazing thing about them was how easy they were to use and make. Recommend buying them and treating yourself. Good quality. I bought this particular kind because they did not have a seam. They are sturdy and good quality.

Ottimi!

Deceptively good quality
I'll admit when these arrived I was more than a little dubious of the quality - they looked cheap and flimsy and I very nearly sent them straight back! I did eventually decide to give them the benefit of the doubt and at least attempt to make a batch of crumpets with them before dismissing them out of hand...and how glad am I that I did?!Out of the packaging the rings can be seen to be a decent quality finish and quite sturdy despite being exceptionally lightweight. They're not as deep as I was expecting but this doesn't cause an issue; in fact, I think the crumpets cooked better because they were a little thinner.I greased them well with high quality oil before use and had no trouble at all removing them from the majority of the crumpets; the first batch hadn't quite come away from the ring and needed a knife run around the edge to free them in a couple of places but in all honesty they probably would've freed up just using fingers if I hadn't been concerned with potentially tearing the crumpets, and there was no residue left on the rings afterwards. Subsequent batches all came away cleanly so I think I probably just didn't oil the rings enough for the first round.Cleaning was easy; just a quick wipe down with warm soapy water to remove traces of oil and they looked as if they'd never been used.I have only used these a handful of times but they have turned out to look like a really good investment

Good quality crumpet rings
I can't fault the quality, these rings are nicely finished and quite solid, I'm sure the'll last a lifetime. They seem a little expensive for what they are, but I doubt anyone would ever need to buy a replacement set.

Einfache Handhabung
Ich würde sie immer wieder kaufen. Mit etwas Margarine eingerieben, backt der Teig nicht an. Ein Rezept ist auch dabei, das sogar schmeckt (fast wie die gekauften).Die Reinigung ist auch einfach und schnell.Problemlose Nutzung - also 5 Sterne.
