Good bag. Looks big, fits smaller. Forces you to be mindful when packing.
This grew on me. I was initially looking for a 22L to replace an old camelbak backpack and my larger old north face bag for travel. Stumbled upon the parsec and really liked it. Unfortunately the 26L was just a bit too big for my type of daily use. Saw a link to this bag somewhere online and thought I’d give it a shot since it has similar features I loved about the parsec(kickstand, back panel, weight). It’s a weird bag because while it looks big and bulky on the outside due to the frame it’s actually not as roomy on the inside in comparison. That took a while to get use too. I wish the interior color was different but eh, small preferential gripe. I found the admin compartment to be too small at first, but now enjoy the minimalistic aspect of it. Its location also threw me in for a loop but I can see the practicality of it now. Shoulder straps are decent/good. I don’t pack this out so I don’t know how a large load will feel. I can imagine them losing comfort as more weight and time get added though. Love the water bottle pocket, wish there were two of them(I never use the other side pocket since I find it awkward to get to get too). I’m glad the laptop compartment is there though I don’t really use it. It’s too narrow to really stuff anything other than that or documents in there(which I like). Love the kickstand and the bag’s ability to stay up right. Lastly, I decided to buy a rain cover for this thing. I don’t know if the front of the bag has cardboard type material inside but it got a little too wet for my liking in a good rain fall. Started to get mailable which effected its structure.Overall I like the minimalistic approach. All pockets and compartments have a purpose and are just big enough to serve it to my liking(even if not used much). I do wish it wasn’t so bulky as it’s harder to fit into smaller spaces, but I understand it helps provide structure and the standing feature that I do like. This seems like a good bag for a light and purposeful carry. Not a “let me just throw whatever in whichever section and go” type of bag(which I also love for those random errand runs). If a mild size discrepancy between the outer and inner bag doesn’t bother you, it’s a great backpack.

This is my go-to pack for everyday use/bike commuting/and running errands.
Since being sent this pack, I've been using it almost every single day, during the week.At this point, this pack is essentially completely replace all of my other everyday packs. What I love most about this pack is just how it feels on my body. It's one of the more comfortable packs I've ever put on. I also love the fact that it doesn't overheat my back, especially when I'm commuting by bike, instead of driving.Internal storage compartments are well thought out, and there's just enough storage to get me through each day.I'm also a huge fan of the overall quality of all Osprey products. Over the years, I've reviewed close to two dozen Osprey products, and I'm still yet to ever be disappointed.Bottom line:This pack is perfect for any type of everyday use.

Great for travels
I have been using this on my flights as a personal item carrying my electronics and basic items that I want to have with me. I love it! It has a great side pocket for my water bottle that literally swallows it. Most backpacks I have tried skimp here and the bottle keeps falling out. There is no chance I am loosing it from here! The opposite side has another stretchy pocket with a zipper. It works great for my glasses case and small items. The suspension system is great! Not only does it keep items from poking me, it also keeps the pack away from my back so air can flow. That is nice when I am rushing to a new gate! There are plenty of pockets, pouches and different sections in this pack so I can keep everything organized. The padded section protects my IPad or laptop when I travel and has plenty of room for both if I want. One surprise for me, there is a small u shaped frame sewn into the pack. It totally makes the pack freestanding! No falling over or shapeless shlumping! The look of the pack is very clean and unassuming. You won’t be grabbing attention everywhere, but you’ll be comfortable, organized and confident as you go. Don’t forget Osprey’s almighty guarantee, they will repair or replace things for life. I’ve only had to use it once, but they came through quickly and effectively on that guarantee. This is a great traveler and worth the price!

Had this for a year and…
Pros: The mesh back is superior. I’ve walked miles with it at tradeshows, walking around cities, long airport walks, and for work in general and the mesh back is seriously great at keeping your back and clothes not sweaty. Very durable. I’m one to throw my bag around and it shows no signs of damage yet.Space: It’s great it fits a 16” MacBook Pro and an iPad, but the rest of the bag’s compartments take up space in other compartments when you fill it so you have to play Tetris if you’re packing to full capacity. I have managed to carry my MacBook, dslr w/ 24-70mm lens, cables, and traveling essentials, but it was an uncomfortable carry.Cons: I’m 5’5”. The kickstand’s frame that runs vertically along the bag and the backpack’s overall tallness makes it feel like this bag was not made for my size. I have to keep it so high up so it or extremely low so it doesn’t ride my pants down, which also makes it hard to utilize the side pocket.I’m happy with it overall, just have issues with feeling like I have limited pack space yet feels huge when I wear it.
