tormeck sharpening system - but
While this piece is just part of the tormeck sharpening system I did buy the whole system from Amazon. No problem with Amazon or the item itself but after carefull review of a demonstration offered on the internet not once but several times and reading the instru ction book more than several times I was unable to achieve the results desired. Now I know the fault is mine for I am a new comer to machine sharpening and I feel I could indeed get the results ahieved in the demonstration on the internet if I could have fifteen minutes with a real live person so I could see up close and personel just how he did it. Now as I understand it you cannot do small knives such as wood carving knives esxcpt freehand. I have no doubt the desired sharpness can be achieved freehand but I simply ground down a blade to nothing and not having achieved the results desired. Yes the machine is wonderful and finely made. Its purhase from amazon was a pleasure as in my experience all are. However until the light bulb of intelegence hits I do believe I will continue to have a high quality machine which is impressive to look at and impressive to see run. The money was not misspect for I am satisfied with the machine it is just the results achieved are somewhat different from what I expected. All solely attributable to me.

Wichtig ist aber, dass hier nach der Bedienungsanleitung vorgeht und die einzelneArbeitsschrite bzw. Bewegungung, wie beschrieben, ausführt. Ich konnte meine Messer, Scheren und Beile eine scharfe Klinge verpassen. Die Schärfe hält erstaunlich lang.Ich bin mit dieser Produkt sehr zufrieden und kann es weiterempfehlen

Das Zubehörpaket entspricht voll und ganz meiner Erwartung. Für einen bestimmungsgemäßen Gebrauch der Maschine sind die Teile im Grunde unverzichtbar.

Solid construction great helper
I've never sharpened knives this way but the hand tool kit makes the procedure simple to follow. I already knew the quality of these accessories the moment I purchased the T-7. Manufactured very well and although I don't own a business or restaurant I do a fair amount of cooking in my home and the machine, although costly, is a wise investment and will keep all of my cutlery and cutting tools in the best and sharpest state to work with. I would have given this jig kit a clean 5 star sweep rating but I held back because I believe the small knife jig, sold separately should have been included with the rest of the jigs in this kit. That small jig is $32 more, which I did purchase, but would have liked in included in the kit for a few dollars more. I think if the Tormek CEO sees this review it will be an idea that will enable him to consider the changes requested not only from me but others who have the same opinion on this issue.
