Very sturdy and nice
Nice island. Plenty of storage. The roll top is great and gives extra needed support for the drop down leaf. Assembly was easy enough for one person and took a couple of hours. The outlet feature is very convenient. The island is very nice and looks great in my kitchen.

But it. You'll love it
Love it. We separated it first. Then follow the directions which were perfect. All pieces are numbered and the bags labeled. Love the size, functionality and it's sturdiness. Yes the wheels don't lock, but it doesn't move. For the money it's well worth it.

Great product
I bought this and put it together today. It took me by myself 4 hours. I did take my time setting the parts out numerically as well as the hardware. It went together great!! My only hiccup was the hinges. The pics show it but I think could be a bit better. My only other issue is I bought the black island. There are 12 plastic pieces that basically make the backboard snug. They are white and stand out like a sore thumb. I tried to put one on the inside, not only was it hard to see but could be do able, if you don’t aim the screw more towards the inside you will come thru the backboard and see the end of the screw (I only did one and thank goodness i got it in the support piece). These should be the same color as the island. But I DO recommend this product. As long as you go into it knowing it’s going to take some time.

It’s perfect!
It’s exactly what we needed and exactly as described. The instructions were easy to follow, all the parts and hardware were there, and some hardware even had one or two extra.Don’t try to build it alone if at all possible; your life will probably suck for 5 hours after making that choice. Use a power drill for the hard work and a screwdriver to hand-tighten.It took my husband and I about 2.5 hours to build as a team. We are handy and enjoy these type of furniture builds. I acted as his surgeon’s assistant and handed him the next items to keep him from having to get up repeatedly and search for them. The material is all labeled chronologically, and the hardware is labeled alphabetically. I sorted all the pieces so they were in order and their labels visible, which made them easy to find when my husband called for the next part and its coordinating hardware. So far we love it, but we’ve only had it built for one day so far. I’ll try to remember give an update on it at some point in the future after we’ve used it a bunch, and will definitely make sure to update with any negatives we experience.10/10 would recommend!Update: After 18 months of daily use, looks practically brand new! Even the shelf where we slide the recycle bin in and out every week still shows no signs of wear and tear. The only “issue” we’ve had is that one of the screws that secures the magnet door latch came loose and fell out a couple weeks ago. Should be a simple fix once I finally grab a screw driver and just go do it. The white parts of the island all clean up beautifully with a melamine sponge. The counter top is real wood, and whatever they sealed it with does not stain. We’ve spilled food, tomato sauce, coffee, tea, chocolate, syrup, honey, etc. on it so many times, and it still looks good as new. We’ve extended the counter top a few times for parties and holidays, and it feels very sturdy when in use. It’s a great feature to have when you live in a small house and only sometimes need the extra counter space, but more frequently need the room that a deeper countertop would otherwise take up. So overall, I can confidently say that this is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made from Amazon. Still 10/10. Highly recommend.

Dream portable kitchen island
This is by far my most favorite piece of kitchen furniture. Very versatile. Easy to move around. Plenty of storage. I am tall so the height is perfect. I don’t even need a cutting board on it! Totally functional piece!

Great Island, But Could Be Better
UPDATE: I bought some wheel blocks. Super cheap and easy fix! Like it. Limits the mobility issue I was having but also decreases the ease of moving to clean.I really like this island. The color is fantastic. I built it myself in a few hours (spread out over two nights, because I have to wait until my toddler goes to bed before tackling anything like this). Assembly was pretty straightforward and no issues with putting it together. No issues with instructions or parts or labeling.Few things that could be better for the 5th star:1. The wheels, while a great feature, don’t truly lock. Of the 5 wheels (four corners and in the middle), only two “lock” and I use quotes because those two still move quite a bit. The whole island moves easily even when locked, and in the last 24 hours I have had it up I have had to constantly move it back. It moves when bumped, which is a big deal when you have two dogs and a toddler who are always bumping things!2. The back of the island is just particle board. It SHOULD be fine, but I worry that people (read, my toddler) sitting at the counter would be kicking it and it might not stand up. The island it is replacing was much sturdier and had a solid back. So it just gives me pause with the particle board backing. Would be perfectly fine without the leaf extension out, or up against a wall. Additionally, the last step of the instructions wanted you to install white brackets on the corners of each particle board piece but the look of that was just terrible, making the brackets very obvious. Would have been ok if color coordinated with the color of the island.3. Similarly, the bottom of the drawers are particle board as well. Probably won’t be an issue, but I am used to solid and wonder how long these drawers will hold up to daily use.4. The towel bar end of my island is not level. The two pieces that hold the towel bar are not even with each other and the bar is therefore not level. Lower at the left, higher at the right. This is not error in installation, but just poorly drilled holes.I had to replace my old island which was a solid beast. I loved that this one is a little more compact and is mobile with the wheels. Makes it easier to clean around and underneath. But the poorly locking wheels may drive me crazy. The price is outstanding. I found the same island as my previous one, and on Amazon it was nearly $900. So this was much better value.
