Bobj Rugged Case for ASUS MeMO HD 7 Models ME173X, ME173L, K00B - BobjGear Protective Tablet Cover (Outrageous Orange)

This x-mas, I bought the Asus Memo HD7 tablet for my kids. I was worried that the kids may drop it once and the tablet would die (as did another one...alas...it didn't have the rugged case on it !!)I ordered this case after much research and having tried some other 'ultra-slim' cases. This case is heavy so it almost doubles the weights of the tablet....BUT, it provides perfect protection to the tablet and the ribbed edge and silicon material gives a great grip to those tiny fingers. The fit is perfect and the volume/power switches work perfectly fine underneat the silicone.The speaker ports actually make the sound richer. I was worried that silicone would catch a lot of dust,dirt and grime like on my old mobile cover. But the silicone material in this case is of high quality and doesn't actually attract dirt.If you want a sleek fancy light weight cover for an adult, look elsewhere..if you are ok with a slightly heavy cover that is really rugged and provides a great grip and all round protection to your tablet (e.g. if its likely to be handled by kids at home)..look no further...this is the perfect product...

I am really impressed with this case. It forms a thick bumper around the edge of the tablet and stands approximately 6mm proud of the screen, so I am confident that it would offer good protection if I were to drop the device. It is well made - all of the holes line up correctly with the intended features, it is easy to put on and remove, and it feels very robust. It also looks pretty cool - the raspberry colour is a sort of deep, fairly grown up magenta, so I don't feel that the overall effect is childish. The rounded shape is pleasant to hold, and the high-friction surface means that you can prop the tablet up against things without it sliding or falling down (if you're careful).It does add bulk and weight to the tablet, but that is a small price to play for the added protection. I also bought the Greatshield padded sleeve for 8'' tablets, which is the perfect size to accommodate the tablet when housed in this case (although I had to be very careful for the first couple of uses, as it is quite a tight squeeze)!

Bought this for my sons Asus memo pad and it offers great protection. The case allows a small gap to form between a surface and the screen so this helps protect the screen in case of it being dropped flat, screen side down. While it obviously makes the tablet bigger (any case offering protection will and even those that don't will) its not a huge amount. In fact as its mainly a kids tablet, the chunkier feel is great as is the extra grip the rubber case offers.I did see a few reviews complaining that the case made the side buttons difficult to use but I have not found this to be the case at all. The power and volume buttons are still very responsive and my 6yr old has no problems using them (just a problem with me asking him to turn the volume down when he is playing a game!).If you are looking for a rugged case to protect your tablet you can't go far wrong with this.

This product is one of 3 covers I have for my Asus memo pad. Of the three it is by far the best design from a point of view of drop protection. It is thoughtfully designed to give protection from all angles except the screen which could only be damaged if the device were dropped on to something which was smaller than the screen and was sticking out. It has only one fault in that being made from silicon rubber, to which nothing will stick, except airborne dust. Leave it on your desk for an hour or two and it feels gritty. You need a small brush to wipe it clean? Wiping with a cloth or tissue does not work. However I think that this is an excellent product and is ideal for tiny sticky hands. I award it 5 points.

This is simply a very good protecting case for the tablet. (I have Bobjgear cases for both our nexus 7's and Asus memopad). It provides a firm grip for the kids and should they drop the device (which happens occasionally), nothing happens to the tablet. Well though out solution with channels in the rubber which leads sound from the backside speakers to the front. Only downside is the very high price, which for the memopad is about 15% of the device itself. However, keeping in mind that it probably has saved the screen from being smashed on several occasions, it is worth the money.Thomas Andersen

It looks good a bit bulky but it is ok to hold.It arrived fast,but luckily my kid did not perform the drop test with it.She did that before it arrived and without it tje digitizer shattered so I had to dissasemble and replace the front screen.I have it four stars just because I do not know if it is able to protect the device.

We had already bought one in Orange for the Google Nexus and loved this case so much we bought another! They are really bright and funky for ease of finding the tablet as well as the kids love them. If they drop the tablet, it bounces but the curve in the case means that the screen never touches the ground. It is rugged enough that it can take some good knocks. I wouldn't let my kids use the tablets without them now.

Great case as I can safely say that if I do manage to drop my tablet I'm certain its not going to break (unless I drop it screen down on the corner of a table as there is no screen protection with this case). Does add weight and bulk to the tablet but that's just the price you'll have to pay to have this kind of protection. Lovely thick rubber on each corner and gives great grip to help prevent accidents.
