RockJam RJBG01-SK-BK Full Size Bass Guitar Kit with Amplifier, Tuner, Stand, Bag and Accessories - Black

Played guitar for many years, but recently (having decided against the digital/MIDI approach) wanted/needed a bass guitar for "live" overdubbing onto original, complex, full-song rythym tracks courtesy of the wonderful Korg Stageman 80.Never owned or even played a bass before, and definitely didn't want to spend too much on acquiring one.So, after a little internet sleuthing, I stumbled upon this RockJam starter kit which, even at the normal retail price, appeared to be amazing, too-good-to-be-true, value for money.However, fortuitous timing meant that it was now reduced to an amazing, hard-to-believe £99.99 in the Amazon Black Friday Sale.So, basically it would be silly not to have a punt on it, and if absolute rubbish, simply return it.It arrived quickly and, after eagerly unpackaging it, tuned it up (with included tuner, obviously), attached the crepe-paper-thin strap (to be expected, I suppose) and gave it a whirl.The result? It works. It holds its tune and, from my inexperienced perspective, plays okay (no fret rattle).It's full size, but is much lighter than it looks. The build quality and finish is less than top notch, but at this price?Anyway, for personal and/or novice/beginner use with minimal outlay, and all conceivable essentials included, this is a no brainer (even at standard, post sale pricing).In the unlikely event of having to play in front of an audience, however, I would definitely feel the urge to spend a little more on a higher-end model.

** Disclaimer:** I purchased this bass guitar for a discount from Amazon Warehouse due to damage around the tuning area.However, I am pleasantly surprised by the amount of equipment I got for the price. The bass guitar is great value for beginners.The only downside is that the strings are not of good quality and may feel a little stiff. I recommend swapping them out for better quality and softer ones if you're a new starter and learning the pluck method.

Bought this for my Wife as she wanted to start learning how to play Bass with no previous experience. Was really impressed with this kit as it basically comes with everything you need to get started. The bass sounds good. The amp is very basic and compact but ideal for a beginner. I would highly recommend getting this as your starter kit. The quality of the Bass guitar itself is really good. Feels solid and is full size too (huge!)Having a stand included in the package is super helpful too. For £140 it's surprising how much you actually get for your money! She's used it for about 20 hours in the last couple of weeks and hasn't showed any signs of problems!A+++ rating and thanks to seller for getting it delivered by Christmas!

Absolutely thrilled with this bass guitar. The perfect package for the beginner. Comes with everything you need to start up. Plays well for such a good price. I got this for my 11 year old and she loves it. Would recommend for any age.

Excellent kit Arrived on time nicely packaged. Bass is really well made , good sound and is quite light, which is a bonus as it is a big guitar. I love playing it and amp gives a nice level of sound and tone. Great for jamming with friends which is why I bought it. Extras were a nice touch. I received a pick holder and capo as well as bag, cable, picks, tuner, and extra strings. Really all you need. I have been playing it for a few weeks now, though I have played more expensive bass guitars, this holds up well. As good if not better than any other. So five stars from me

think carefully before buying, you get what you pay for. I play guitars and can fix them up so was prepared to take a chance as I fancied trying a bass and the package was very cheap. Out of the box it was virtually unplayable and needed serious adjustment of the neck truss rod. Fret ends were rough and needed filing smooth. neck finish is rough and needs sanding/wire wool. Body is solid wood( good thing) but not finished properly, lots of marks and dents were just painted over. Headstock is poorly cut and needs sanding and refinishing. Logo is sprayed stencil and looks really cheap, I will sand it off. Vol and tone pot nuts were not tightened to the scratch plate.Amplifier had bad mains hum and input jack socket needed re soldering.After fixing the sound quality is average and does the job. Gig bag is thin and wont last long. Strap is cheap. Tuner works okay. Stand works but is very unstable with bass on it.Had to bend the arms to improve this. If you are not prepared to do some work perhaps second hand would be a better bet. Hope this is helpful. Good luck!

To start things off i want to say that alot of people that have left reviews talk about issues with tuning and vibration. This comes in a box so yes you will have to do some fine tuning this is not a high end bass so that is to be expected.The bass itself is a standard one that you would expect for the price. It sounds okay however i noticed the strings that were pre installed had some bows which i put down to the packaging luckily this comes with spares so if that happens when you get yours it isn't much of an issue.The 20 watt amp is surprisingly good for what it is and if you ever went for a better sounding bass the amp will hold up nicely just make sure you get your levels right. Your not going to get concert hall levels of sound obviously but it is grear for practicing.The strap it comes with is standard so not much to talk about and same with the lead for the amp however i am slightly confused as to why they packaged this with the plectrums it comes with. They are far to flimsy and are made for electric guitars not basses so if you are wanting to play with a pick i would suggest buying more sturdy ones seperatly.All in all for the price it is a good package if you are starting out and wanting to learn the bass but if you already have the knowledge then this will not be for you.

Un producto excelente por la relación calidad precio. Es perfecto para empezar, trae todo lo necesario para empezar a tocar ya. La calidad de la funda de transporte es un poco endeble y la correa para tocar de pie también es un poco endeble. Pero insisto en que por la relación calidad precio es extraordinario. Estoy muy feliz con mi compra. Gracias Amazon.
