Garmin vivofit 3 Activity Tracker Belt Clip

This product was very expensive, and has not lasted very long. The 'window' where the Garmin Vivofit 3 is slipped into the belt clip began splitting (cracking) in the lower left and upper right corners after about 5 months of daily use. Daily use means that I move the tracker from wrist band to belt clip and back at least once per day. I am not willing to buy another one when they won't stand up to that kind of use. Otherwise, the belt clip is easy to use and attach to a belt.

I upgraded to the Vivofit 3 from the original Vivofit. I seriously considered switching to another brand fitness tracker, but I decided I liked the features of Garmin's product far more. The battery is one of the biggest advantages that Garmin's Vivofit has over the other. Who needs yet another device to continually plug in to charge? My original Vivofit, which I had for over two years had required one battery replacement, which was so simple.I've now had my new Vivofit 3 for over a month. There was a learning curve involved, as there are a few more features to this model than the original. They are improvements, such as the auto-sleep feature. I no longer have to press the Vivofit to set the sleep feature when I go to bed. The Vivofit 3 knows when I am prone/sleeping and records it accordingly---and quite accurately. Nice. It also knows when I go for a walk and records that event. It allows me to set the 'timer' to record my more active treadmill sessions or other activities that I've set up. Again, nice feature, very convenient.Overall, I am very happy with my newest model of Vivofit. The only drawback for me is the screen size. It is a bit small for 'older' eyes. However, I've gotten used to that and it's not a major drawback. Plus, there are other advantages to its size. It's more comfortable to wear than the previous versions, or larger models, and it is more attractive as well. I was going to subtract a star rating for the size issue but decided it's not such an issue to go from "love" to "like."I'm likely going to stay with the Garmin brand fitness trainers. The syncing is super easy (and the Vivofit 3 will also automate that process if you set it to do so; it uses more battery power, however, so I decided against that). The app for your phone or tablet is really great and provides a lot of features. I rarely have any trouble syncing the device, other than right around Christmas time when newbies are flooding the website. This year, even that was very troublesome.I do recommend it!
