Works as needed

I use this ground plane kit on my Baofeng UV5R radio and was able to reach a repeater 32 miles away. However the installation was not ideal I have to use a so239 to SMA female adapter between this kit and to the radio antenna port, then I have to use another adapter, so239 to SMA male to connect the SMA female antenna. I tried both the VHF and UHF with the longer radials and GMRS with the shorter radials. In all three tests the ranges of TX and RX were greatly extended. If you don't mind using two adapters and have less than sturdy handheld setup this kit is better than any antenna by itself.

I have three antennas on my vehicle, 2m/70cm, GMRS, and CB, this really helped get the SWR's under control with the GMRS antenna, the other two I adjusted with positioning.

Like how it looks and performa

Works well will all my vertical antennas on both bands. Comes with 3 Solidly Built Radials for each band but I find using two of the short radials for 70Cm and one for 2M take care of both bands without having to switch out. This kit does improve SWR for most of my antennas whether it be on my HTs (with adapters) or way up in tree. Actually bought this the PL/SO 239 collar to use as an HF Antenna Ground Radial Connector for an ATAS-120a and Comet Toybox HF Antennas... But will buy a few more just to have. Great solid product.NOTE: Be careful if using in trees and go slow when moving past/around branches. If you take care, then you'll have no problems.

It worked great with the short fiberglass antenna. I used it with my RV.

Checked with 70cm antenna, have a real improvement in SWR.

This does absolutely nothing to help transmit or receive. It’s worthless and a waste of money
