Microsoft Surface Book 2 15 Inch 1TB i7 16GB RAM Bundle (1.9GHz i7 Up to 4.2GHz, 3240 x 2160 Resolution, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060)

I own a Surface Book and have had it for over two years and I still love it, but there came a need for a "business only" computer in my household so I couldn't resist trying out the Surface Book 2. It has not dissappointed! I got the 15" screen and 1TB drive, I found that on my other Book I had to continually empty the hard drive as it was only 512GB. I'm a Graphic Designer and I can tell you that Adobe CC works beautifully on both, but better on the Book 2. As software gets more sophisticated and the demands on your computer are greater, I'm confident this Book 2 will last me a long time. I've read that the i7 models use fans for cooling, but I've yet to hear it on either Surface Book model which is a blessing as my previous computers have been really loud 1-2 years down the road.One major difference between the two models is the USB C port on the Book 2. If you buy an additional USB Hub (other than the Microsoft Port that you can purchase - it has 4 USB 2.0 ports and I needed more) be sure to get one with a USB C connector. This way the 2 USB ports onboard the computer will be freed up if necessary and you won't have to carry the Microsoft Dock when you travel - it is quite heavy (2.64 lbs) as compared to the USB C Hub, LAMA 11-in-1 which is only 8 oz. + the regular computer charger. My computer config is 4.2 lbs. so every ounce counts whether you are carrying the computer in your backpack or in a tote.At this time I can't speak too much to battery life but I went to an off-site meeting recently and was very pleased that I wasn't continually worried about finding a plug.

adapter and pen are falsely advertised and not included!! It only includes charger. One of my USB ports is not functioning properly. It's a great deal overall and still in good condition. but yea. Also, my serial numbers for the head and base do not match. This may cause complications down the line so I am considering returning it as Microsoft would refuse to service a device that does not come with original parts. This is a head paired with another laptop's base.Battery percentage for both head and base or max 90 & 94 so not bad on that part.

I purchased this computer after my 6 year old Toshiba Qosmio X775 video card stopped working. The Toshiba is an extremely fast computer even at today's standards, so I wanted another computer with similar speed but a lighter and more compact design. The Microsoft surface with the Nvidia chipset, is very impressive and stunning device and met the challenge. I haven't ran any benchmarks yet, but I'd stay it's nearly as fast as the Toshiba. The Nvidia 560M seems to outperform the 1060. The difference isn't significant however. All in all, I'm very impressed with this computer and would highly recommend.The main thing that was disappointing was initial setup. Once the setup was completed and the computer was running, it was extremely slow to the point I thought something was wrong. However, after many Microsoft updates including updates to the Nvidia display drivers, the expected performance was finally realized.

I needed this laptop to replace my origins laptop that was about 19 years old. Overall, I like the laptop and found nothing bad that say about it. I miss not having a DVD player included in laptops anymore, yet the trade off is, I have a lighter laptop to carry around. This was important to me since I have back and neck trouble and was one of the reasons I purchased this laptop. I also like being able to use the tablet feature.

I was kinda skeptical, but this is a very good computer! Convenient and capable! It's a little heavy, but otherwise, I would recommend it to anyone who is on the go a lot.

The screen was black death unfortunately notwithstanding that the laptop was bought as brand new machine, and as a result I returned back the laptop.

This product is great in concept but the device you get will fall short regularly.I am an IT consultant and so my laptop is core to my work. I got this machine to have the power to run my servers locally while having the tablet functionality for client meetings.The issues I have had is that the device will regularly lose connection to the base. If I am typing on the keyboard it can cause the base and tablet to lose connection briefly resulting in the graphics card shutting off and my second monitor going blank. If you adjust the screen at all it will also cause this disconnect. This is a huge issue when you have a headset plugged into base and you lose your connection during meetings.I also like to work from couch in the evenings. I had to give up on that as this device disconnects too often if I am working with it on my lap.I want to love this machine, but instability ruins the most basic use of it as a laptop..I have posted on Microsoft forums and they had me uninstall and reinstall a plethora of drivers with no improvement.I also don't believe I have a lemon as a colleague at my company has the same machine and he experiences similar issues.

Very beautiful and responsive machine but very expensive to import to Thailand. Better to buy when you're in the US.

I love it, I use 3D software like Blender, Maya, , Houdini, Zbrush, Substance Painter and Designer, Unreal Engine 4, I also use After Effects and Photoahop, I work as a Technical Artist in the videogame industry and this laptop is everything I ever wished for, BUT mine did not came with the Video adapter, I needed the laptop because I couldn't bring mi pc when I moved to Quebec from Mexico, so I was in a rush, that's why I'm leaving 2 stars, sorry, but an incomplete order is a no no
