Q: May be a stupid question... but, here goes. How is the unit powered, wallwart plug in?

You run 3 wire from base to control unit. Control unit plugs into receptacle (wall). Control unit has manual control to rotate mast. Control unit controlled also by remote control.

Q: What is the difference between vh226e and vh226f?

There is no difference the VH226F is an older model number but nothing was changed they just moved to VH226E to avoid people returning old units for warranty claims. The VH226F is no longer made and this listing is for the VH226 which currently ends with the E.

Q: What size range mast pipe needed? Smallest/Largest

2" or smaller, electrical conduit will do fine steel. PVC 1.5" OD good also.
