Not To Sure
Myself and my friend attempted to add this to my van... we must have done nothing wrong or it doesn't work. (I think it was us).I will give 4**** as the build quality is good and you have what you need here. But do some research on if this is the right part or you may find yourself like me with nothing doing what it should!

A nice split charger / battery isolator
Was pleasantly surprised to find the circuits - which look exposed - completely covered in epoxy, because I was worried about the proximity to the bolts for connection. It certainly looks like it would be virtually waterproof.Given that it supports up to 140A, though, and is intended for mobile purposes, I was surprised that there wasn't a lock washer supplied with the nut to keep the connection tight. It's quite important to make sure that that 140A connection stays tight, so I would recommend a lock washer (they aren't "required", so the omission is understandable, but for safety's sake, put a lock washer on!). Search "battery meltdown narrowly averted" for a page that explains why.I've tested it as part of a solar project for myself (where I have two battery banks but the first is much better quality and more reliable so I don't want charging the second to take priority of lose power from my main bank), but also I'm looking to add leisure battery to my car to run some electronics (e.g. GPS tracker, cameras, etc.) off a small battery in the car that charges from the engine. I don't want the tracker/cameras to be a drain on the main battery. It's quite simple in that it just joins both (positive) cables together if the voltage of the main cable is in the ranges specified, so the second battery can charge once the main battery is topped up, but cutting out before the main battery drains too low.It certainly works for that purpose, but it would be nice if they could put a lock-washer in and maybe some two of the connectors for the cable, rather than just the one!

A good budget charging solution if you're using all the same type of batteries.
This popped up on Vine and I grabbed it for a potential solution to charging my leisure batteries while driving. It was only when I looked into it properly that I realised that it was unsuitable for my set-up; I have a single lead/acid starter battery and four lithium-iron batteries in the rear. The problem is the lithiums need a different charge profile to lead/acid. Also, lithiums can pull a huge amount of current (amps) while charging and the four of them might damage the alternator if just connected directly to those batteries (which this smart relay would do). I ended up buying a DC/DC converter to solve my solution, which is a lot more expensive than this smart relay :( I'm keeping the smart relay for my other van (Vito) which will have 1 or 2 lead/acid batteries in the rear and this relay will work perfectly for that. I'll be putting a 100A or 120A either side of the relay (close to the batteries). So, if you need to charge seperate lead/acid battery(s) then this relay will do the job perfectly (and cheaply!)

Well made battery isolator
Ordered this for an upcoming conversion project I have where I'll need to run both a leisure and engine battery on a campervan. I will assume if your looking for a battery isolator then you'll know how they work and what's needed to get it to work. Essentially this is required to run two battery's one main and one leisure it stops the main from being drained which would then case you to need a jump start. This review is for the isolator only and not the set that is also offered in this listing. The isolator is a well made product, made from plastic it has a base plate which is easy to remove and allows for two fitting screws. The plastic housing must be cut to route the wires. The instructions are included all be it not the best in my opinion but a quick search on the net will land you with a wealth of knowledge on what's needed. Overall happy with the product and look forward to installing it very soon.

A review of just the Smart 12v battery split charge relay
I have a vehicle with a boot based battery. I stood my new Leisure battery next to it, connected up (to their respective connections) the Smart split charge relay to the positive terminal on both batteries with a suitable Red cable. And I connected the Earth strap on the relay to a suitable Earth on the vehicle.Up and running in 30 minutes and I can confirm that it works!Everything works as it should, and this relay seems made to last.I'm not sure I would bother with the complete kit options available from this seller, unless my set-up was especially complicated and I wanted a 'one-stop' purchase more than a cheap one.5* Recommended.

Great value and works really well! A++++
I found this fairly simple to install with my electrical background - not so sure if this would be as easy for a beginner but the instructions and method is fairly straight forward. You just need to connect the two terminals as per the diagram and you're good to go, this is a supplied 2mm thick earth wire for install which is super useful and already terminated inside the board (you cannot remove this earth wire)I needed to purchase the two separate battery wires but this was also fairly straight forward as I looked at the thermals and got the 6 gauge cables for the battery connections. This overall seems like a great little device and if you're in to this type of thing you will know exactly what to do and what this will be useful for.
