Nice lamp, tall, bright, a bit of a flimsy shade, but for price I would buy again

The lamp itself is great, although we had one that didn't work out of the box. I did try contacting the company to see if there was an easy fix. I was directed to voicemail, and never heard back after leaving two messages.

I paid $40 for this, and it's definitely a step up from the $10-20 floor lamps. The metal is uniformly finished and it stands up almost perfectly straight. The swivel head is nice, but it only tilts independently -- if you want to rotate it, you have to slightly unscrew the head until it points where you want. The shade is perfectly adequate, although it's shiny white plastic on the inside, so if you're planning to aim it down for reading, you might see an ugly ring of glare depending on how your bulb is shaped.The packaging, however, was infuriating! It was encased in styrofoam, which is not necessarily a deal-breaker, but it was *soft* styrofoam that crumbled easily, and unpacking it required removing tape from the styrofoam and separating three layers of parts (base, head, and stem). I eventually gave up and accepted I'd have to vacuum my living room after. Science has given us corrugated cardboard and clever ways to fold it into appropriately protective packaging -- use it!But don't let that stop you -- I would buy this again, I'd just complain about the packaging again.

I first found this at homedepot.com and they were sold out. I was looking for a simple floor lamp and this fits the bill. It was also well below the budget I had in mind so I immediately purchased a second lamp. Funny thing is, my 1st order with amazon.com was mysteriously canceled and refunded while in route (I'm guessing) so I reordered and my 1st lamp arrived. When I ordered my 2nd lamp, same issue occurred. I received notification that my order was canceled and refunded so I again reordered and then my 2nd lamp arrived. Package was pretty banged up the 2nd time but the lamp was packaged well and was in perfect condition, no missing parts and so simple to put together that instructions not required. The only thing I didn't like at first was that the lamp shade is not of hard plastic -- maybe because that's just want I'm used to. This shade is more like a thick, flexible doggie cone and I thought, I guess this is factored into the low price. I've had the lamps for over a month now and I'm over it -- the lamps looks great whether it is on or off and the base holds it's weight well.

LAMP: At a glance, looks far more expensive than it is. Super-easy assembly. No tools required. Cord is already run through each pre-threaded pole section... which you screw together from base to top (no issues with bad threads.) Attach plastic shade to lamp head with included socket ring, and you're golden.PACKAGING: The lamp parts are encased in those sprayed-in tiny little Styrofoam beads, which form a solid mass once the box is sealed shut. Impossible to unpack the parts without scattering some of the Styrofoam. Save your sanity and pre-arm yourself with a large disposable drop cloth (or an old bedsheet) and a can of Static Guard. Some wide masking tape will help trap errant beads when you're done.

It looks very minimal which i like. The shaft doesn't have any large knobs, curves, or buttons sticking out of it which is why I bought it. It's a nice, clean line. I like the adjustable head. I went with this over a built in LED floor lamp because I wanted to reuse my Philips wifi light bulb with Google Home which works well with this. One thing that I wish could be better is the shade itself. It looks a little on the cheap side. It's not terrible. But there's more to be desired. I actually took the shade from the lamp I was replacing and am using that instead.

The lamp had paint spots in several spots. All parts were present and I really like the lamp style. Paint came off easily.

So close yet short but so little. If only the parts were able to fit correctly! The stand comes in 3 separate pieces that have to be twisted on to connect together. Well, for me, the first two pieces closest to the base twisted on just fine. Then came the very last piece. It didn't twist on all the way and is slightly tilted so the lamp doesn't stand erect the way it should. Plus, there's the issue with the lamp part itself. I think there's a piece missing because the lamp shade doesn't sit on properly.I bought two of these and have only set up one so far. (The order came two days ago). But, now I'm almost afraid to set up the other lamp for fear of being disappointed again. I guess it really is true - you DO get what you paid for and at the time, this lamp was 18.99 - which is exactly why I bought it. Next time, I'll go for quality other than price. :(EDIT: I'm revising my review to say that all IS well with this floor lamp! I fixed the issues by just putting in a little bit more muscle into twisting the parts together and now I have two floor lamps in my living room that brighten like no other! I was too quick with my first review. These lamps rock! The illumination I get from these lamps is priceless!

The media could not be loaded.  Delicate, simple! I think it's classy and the white lampshade doesn't look cheap. That's exactly what I wanted! It's light and it's a very long height!I put a yellow ish light bulb and the way it broadcast the light is more than amazing, very wide but not too wide. It's very easy to move the white lampshade, as I showed in the video. I love it!I'd recommend for bedroom, living room, any big space that you want a relaxed and loungy light!I'd buy it again !

I was concerned after reading other reviews of the pole parts not fitting together but the one I got assembled with no problem. Not sure about problem with cord wearing/splitting where you swivel the lamp head but I won't be moving it anyway. One issue is that it is very hard to move the lamp head position - you have to use a lot of force. Also, the shade is really thin, flimsy plastic but you can only tell when you're handling it.

This lamp is not going to be mistaken for anything more expensive but for what you pay it's hard to complain. The shade looks and feels cheap but the rest of it goes together relatively straight and tight. The base has a good weight.

Easy to assemble very effective light quality. It is very light & obviously not built to last but once assembled & working it doesnt need to be that well made. For feature light it does a great job but if you are looking for quality then this is not for you,

bought them for my son, he really likes them give great light.
