Heard so many things about this brand and this particular model, when I tried it on it eas incredibly narrow at the mid foot and the material it’s made of was very firm. So very uncomfortable. It’s back to HOKA for me.

I've been wearing versions of the Altra Superior for about ten years and they've been my go-to when I need replacements. With this latest version, they seem to have changed the lasts yet again. They're both slightly longer and slightly narrower than past versions and are approaching the fit of a normal shoe.

Third pair love everything

If you like Altras, these are tough and a bit roomier and more comfortable than previous iterations. If you haven't tried them, you may be amazed, especially if you have narrow ankles but wide forefeet, or in my case, Morton's neuromas.

i got these hoping for a larger shoe toe box. I wear a 15, maybe even closer to a 14.5. these shoes were tight all the way around:(

Great for daily gym and walking around.

Wide toe box is non existent, I have superior 5 now. Sadly it’s time to move on from my favorite shoe brand.

I've owned 2 pairs of Altra and nearly gave up. My first pair was a Superior size 12 that fit tighter than an 11. Then I tried a Lone Peak in a 12 that fit more like a 13. COME ON GUYS! With one more try I bought this Superior 11.5 and it arrived actually true to size. I'm so happy because I love a zero drop sole and roomy toe box.

je chausse du 44.5 j'ai acheté ces chaussure en 45 et elles sont toujours trop étroites. Ce sont des chaussures à réserver aux personnes ayant des pieds très très très étroits. Altra se débarassent-ils de leurs chaussures étroites sur Amazon sans préciser que ce ne sont pas les tailles normales ou large?

Ansich macht der leichte Schuh einen gut verarbeiteten Eindruck. Angenehm die 0-Spengung und der breite Vorderfuß. Engt nicht ein und verleiht fast ein Barfuß-Gefühlt. Geht aber zu lasten der Stabilität. Der Hinterfuss ist allerdings recht eng geschnitten. Nachteilig ist, dass sehr eng geschnürt werden muss, damit der Fuß nicht aus der Fersenkappe rutscht. Das wird auf dem Fußrücken allerdings schnell unangenehm. Um eine effektivere Schnürung zu nutzen sind die Schnürsenkel zu kurz. Bei mir kommt noch hinzu, dass in den Schuhen unterschiedlich lange Schnürsenkel eingefädelt wurden. Die Sohle ist meiner Meinung nach nur gut solange es trocken ist. Bei Nässe schwindet schnell die Traktion. Für matschige Streckenabschnitte ungeeignet. Die Schuhe fallen klein aus. Trage in der Regel 45, hier Größe 46 nötig.Fazit: Trailschuhe eher weniger, als Wanderschuhe okay.
