ANRIS Sonoff DIY Wireless Controll Wifi Switch Works with Amazon Echo Goolge Nest for Smart Home Assistant iOS Android

This is the second one of these I've bought, as my experience with the first was good. One controls my decking lights and the other some sparkly string LEDs.Waterproofing seems perfect...it has rained a lot!The plastic case is strong, but be aware that you can't screw on the end contact covers on the switch itself as there's no room when in the casing. Of course, you don't need them on because the switch is in a waterproof case anyway so protected. (I'd rather have a smaller case and not be able to screw on the covers than a larger case, to be honest).Connection to wifi with the app was fine..just a bit of patience and it works perfectly. The app is good and I can control manually or have a timed routine, which I have for my lights. And if course, i can as Alexa to 'turn decking lights on' and she does! I've one of those rechargeable battery base speakers for an echo dot so can listen to music whilst on the decking, so can actually turn the lights on and off from outside as well using Alexa.All in all, it works great and being waterproof makes more versatile.

Item received (as described) - I have fitted a few of these now and have found that when wired, the switch will not fit inside the case unless you leave the two cable covers off. There are many reviews about the switches themselves but in short, I now have five, all work perfectly (no defective ones like some buyers have experienced) so I'm sold on them. The IP66 cases themselves feel solid, well made and provide a great way to protect the switches against adverse weather. The clear acrylic top allows you to see the status light on the switch.

Connecting the cables was easy. N = null,blue Cable, L = line/fase/phase Brown Cable, E = Earth yellow/green Cable.Make the copper part longer then you would expect. Else you can just draw it out without any force! Test your way until you have the right lenght. Bad connections may cause big problems!Talking about problems..Connecting to my wifi was problematic :) I first had to turn off the 5 GHz network by changing settings on my wireless router. I had both 2.4 and 5 GHz activated and since you are using your phone, the phone can only connect to a 2.4 GHz network else it will not talk to this device. I could not tell my Android phone to just connect to the 2.4 ghz network so I had to change it o n the router and disconnect/connect afterwards.(After everything is working you can change it back)Another problem was that it still not worked to connect to my phone. I then read on a forum that I had to disconnect my phones 3G/4G. As soon as I did that AND pressed the button on the device until it blinked faster (not just three blinks - stop - three blinks) and non stop, it connected immediately. a matter of seconds. <10The firmware updates went fine on two out of three device. I kept hanging on 90% on the third. I was wondering what I did differently this time, but then I realised that I added the kwH price before updating. I took away the price and updated again. Worked instantly. Coincidence?? Not sure. I thought it would be nice to write here. It might help someone else.Overall I like this device and the low price for what you get for it.Enjoy!

Have used these and the dual version to voice activate the lighting and fans throughout through Google home,simple to install and once working, work perfectly. Have tired others but they had issues at busy times of the day with the controller app not responding sonoff controller with ewelink works 1st time every time

Within 10 mins of wiring it up i had the switch controlled by Alexa (just say - Alexa lights on) or by phone app with press button control. Will use for control of garden lights.The enclosure it comes in is really a bit on the small side although it does just work if the terminal covers are left off (this is safe to do so as long as the enclosure cover is fitted before applying power to the switch. Not sure of the operating range or reliability but seems good so far.

I use several of the sonoff pow r2. In each room on extensions, on lights, tv, radiators, 3000k radiators work ok, kitchen fridges n microwaves. All fine. Controled by alexa and ewilink app. And android phone. Monitor all your electric n power in each room, program all things on n off saves electric billd. Use sonoff ht16 to read temperatures of each room turn on fans n heaters when required. All off when you want it off. Fantastic divice and salesI would recomend it.

Work flawlessly, be patient when waiting for connection to the router the device will flash green for a period of time and you will think it hasnt worked but it will do it thing and eventually turn solid green, i have two of these of the same power feed, one runs my water feature and the other runs 11 bush lights 240v with led bulbs, 2 colour changing led spots, 2 led wall lights. The sonoff has worked smooth and in sync no disconnection or anything i love them. The ip rated box however was tight once wired in but can be done with patience.

Couple of things really:1.) There was not enough room for the wire and the SmartSwitch in the case (see pictures), I was using 6mm twin & earth as it was outdoors in armour.2.) The waterproof case is very well built and the Smartswitch connected as expected.3.) Customer services resolved the issue immediately and refunded without question.Solid feeling product, good customer support
