I bought this reel last year to pair up with a new Daiwa Aird X medium spinning rod, and it has been wonderful to fish with. Lightest spinning reel I've owned, having fished Pflueger Presidents and Daiwa Revros (not the LT versions). You can definitely feel the difference, and when paired with the Aird-X it's just a joy. Smooth drag, good casting, and it just looks cool as a combo. Spooled reel with 15lb Sufix 832 braid, adding a 8 or 10lb fluoro leader for neko, ned and split-shot rigs, super sensitive combo. I bought the rod at a local Minneapolis area store, check out the exposed blank and skeleton reel seat! It's the most sensitive rod I've used, can feel every bite, even feel sinkers and jigs as they you drag them over logs or rocks. Pulled in many bass last year up to 5 lbs, pike too. Screw in handle too, unlike the slightly lower-priced Legalis LT. Love this rig!

Daiwa does it again. By far the smoothest spinning reel I have tried under a hundred dollars.
