Powerwinch 912 Trailer Winch (40' x 7/32" Cable)

Purchased this for my 21ft Palm Beach with a 200 hp engine. This is a heavy boat. The ramp that I use has a steep incline and I was worried it might not pull my boat on the trailer. This winch pulled my boat on the trailer with no problem. I used the supplied wires and purchased a trolling motor connection to hook it up my truck's battery and usedd the trolling motor connection back by my trailer hitch. Don't have to worry about having a dead battery this way. I've used this several times already with no problems. Works the same every time.

I did not receive the pulley with the winch and called to ask why and was told they are looking for a new mfg and will ship one when they are available. No pulley so far . I am very pleased with the winch which will pull our very heavy boat on the trailer from a flat surface (beach).Slow but powerful.

Very powerful pulls my 22ft center console easily only fault I see is the switch is made very cheap I tried to turn the switch the opposite direction with very little effort it broke right off in my hand a 44 dollar mistake other than that I love it

The product arrived broken - a replacement part was promptly sent. After fixing it, and testing it, we installed it on our boat trailer. The first time we used it, the gear stripped and we were stuck unable to pull our boat out of the water. It was raining and cold and naively thought we wouldn't have to get in the water, so had not brought our waterproof boots. Soaked and cold, we had to moor our boat at the public dock, drive home and uninstall the power winch, reinstall our hand crank, drive back to the boat launch (30 minute drive), and then load our boat. We are returning the Winch.
