They do not have to just be used on hats but as brooches, scarf pins, or wrap and shawl pins.In bygone days, hatpins were worn, not just for decoration, not just to keep the hat on or folded but as a deterrent for thieves and for men who were too, shall we say, familiar? They had a way of sending a clear message when required. The more substantial, longer and thicker pins, used by the Victorians, are not being made these days.

Good quality and fast delivery

Arrived really quickly and as expected. Other people have said they are not sharp. Obviously they have not looked at the end in the protector which is very sharp. On close inspection the items are a bit tarnished as if they were made years ago. They are not as strong as you might expect but with beads and things on they will strengthen as the length is less. They seem expensive for what they are but there is hardly any competition. Hatpins of a good length are so hard to get hold of now.

Flimsy and cheap - don’t buy. Awful hat pins, if you want to go through cotton wool they’ll be great, but bent on first use and as having to push hard to get through the hat then pricked skin many times.

colour as shown but they are not very strong and probably won't keep a hat on in a strong wind. also, the cap came off straight away from one of them
