Bought this after somebody broke a leg off my Staples Dexley chair from excessive leaning, and I'm honestly kind of glad he did that because this budget chair feels and looks like a Hermann Miller or something now because of this thing. Super solid and sleek

I purchased this office chair base on November 1, and I was initially pleased with its design and comfort. However, on December 19, it unexpectedly collapsed under me while I was sitting, leading to a painful injury to my knees.As a 69-year-old, getting out from under my desk after the collapse was a struggle. I had to crawl to find something to support myself, which was not only physically challenging but also quite distressing. I had hoped for a more reliable product that would ensure my safety and comfort, especially considering my age.I strongly advise potential buyers to consider the durability and stability of this chair base. It’s essential to invest in a product that can withstand regular use without compromising safety. Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing, and I cannot recommend this product based on its performance and the unfortunate incident I faced.

I should have opted for a 27 or 28 inch base, but this is working well.

When I got the box my first thought was, "Oh no, this thing has to be assembled and it's not going to be strong enough....". I'm 270lbs and the plastic base of my current chair was torqing the arms and making rolling difficult, so I was immediatley concerned this would not be strong enough. Well, I was wrong. It went together easily, and it's strong. Now I can zoom around my office like a lunatic. BTW this was a $250 chair that I've had for 3 years and it never felt stable (it's not an Amazon chair).Also only 4 stars because the listing wasn't clear that assembly was required. 5 stars on it's performance.

As a heavier person, the base was a definite upgrade to the base that came with the chair. I t was easy to change out the base (after replacing the cylinder). I have been using it for two weeks and have been happy with how it handles.

After just over 6 months, the (what appears to be) plastic piece that connects the legs to the part that connects to the cylinder just broke for two of the legs while sitting in the chair. Caused the chair to break in two other spots when I fell so now the whole thing needs to be replaced instead of just the defective piece.

Office Chair Base Heavy Duty - Black Office Chair Base Replacement up to 2500LBS Load Capacity-Reinforced Metal Leg Swivel Desk Chair Base,Suitable for Most Office Desk Gaming Chairsso, its decidedly a heavy duty base for an office chair. it is easy to assemble, it fit my piston without a problem. however, there is a picture of a roundish person, which is hilarious and he appears to weigh 2200lbs according to the picture. then the title states up to 2500lbs, then in the listing it says up to 2500+lbs. so thats just over a ton. thats alot. i think its so much that it may be exaggerated some because it isnt something you can really test. and to state 3 different sums seems weird. the base does appear to be somewhat wider than my normal office chair bases so i suspect there is greater stability from this. the other thing about the wording in the listing it says, "the base of the chair is polished by multilayer process" the leg 'spokes' are textured, i would not call them polished. so although i would call this a heavy duty office style chair base, the listing appears to be confused and somewhat misleading.

Highly recommended, did exactly what it said it would.
