Simple clip-based phone mount works great.
This cell phone mount is a simple product that does its job very well. It basically consists of a hinge-based mount to attach to a bike and a clip that holds your phone. The clip is strong with rubber grippers. It's able to hold my phone tightly over bumps and also accommodates my large Galaxy S3 as well as my wife's iPhone 5S.The clip is mounted to the anchor portion with a ball joint and a coupling that is used to tighten the ball joint to prevent the clip from any unwanted spinning. The ball joint provides adequate freedom to place a phone in portrait or landscape mode. The anchor portion uses a hinge system to mount itself to the bike. There are 3 places of varying heights for the hinge to sit as to accommodate different sized handlebars or frames. The hinge is then fastened with a screw that has a plastic sort of wingnut on the end. No screwdriver necessary. A rubber filling sits inside the hinge to provide a secure grip on the handlebar. In all, it took about 2 minutes to figure the product out in order to mount on the bike. The rubber filling was not secured to the hinge in any way, so we almost lost it. Without it, I don't think the mount would be able to hold itself upright on the handlebars.I wouldn't trust the clip to hold my phone on a rough mountain bike trail, but it does a great job over light terrain like road and worn trails.Overall, it's a simple design that I would easily recommend to others.

I want to love it, but my phone keeps dropping off.
I want to love it, but my phone keeps dropping off. I've dropped 2 phones during my bike rides. I have to constantly watch it while on rough roads (NYC, potholes, etc.) and push back in hook before it falls out. I've tried with case on phone, without case on phone (Ouch), 3.5" and 5" phones. They all eventually slip from bottom hook. I think it needs a groove or square off hooks, maybe.

Dependable
I was a little cautious about using this mount for the first time, but have been surprised by its dependable performance: it has never once dropped my phone!Pros: good, reliable hold--grippy rubber and strong springs never drop phonePivot allows you to rotate the phone freely, even when on the moveQuick mounting and removal of mountInstant mounting and removal of phoneCons: the pivot joint is designed to display your phone at an angle, thereby limiting the movement a littlethe knobs used to tighten the pivot joint and bracket are rather difficult to turnfor Galaxy S4 users: the placement of the clamp lines up perfectly with your power button, so be careful when you mount your phone, or you might lock the screen or turn your phone off!

Although easy to install and use
Unless you plan on forever riding on smooth recently repaved roads, I would not trust this. Although easy to install and use, the holder did not manage to hold on to my phone over the duration of a 10 mile bike ride. My phone went flying during my last stretch back home. THANK goodness my phone did not break. Not worth the risk, in my opinion.

Clamp is not secure enough and the phone tilts during the ride
On my first ride, my LG G4 phone flew off the handle when I hit a very small bump on the road. By some amazing stroke of luck, nothing happened to the phone. Being stubborn, I decided to attach the phone to the holder with a rubber band to keep it in place. This worked, but now I had a rubber band across my screen throughout the ride. The other problem is that once in place the phone would not stay vertical as I wanted it to. The holder has a universal joint that I could not tighten enough, so the phone was lose and would constantly tilt downwards through the ride.

Works great on my Harley! UPDATED REVIEW!
Great product at a great price! Easily and quickly mounted on my Harley Davidson handlebars. I've been using for about three weeks now, works great with my Nuvi GPS and iPhone. I was a bit nervous about putting my iPhone on this mount, but after several hundred miles of riding, I have no worries. Has a very strong spring, clam style grip with rubber on the inside to protect your device and to keep it from any slippage. Highly recommend this product.UPDATE: While riding my Harley at about 70 MPH down the highway, my GPS along with the holder went flying off my handlebars. It broke behind the spring clip where it attaches to the mounting bracket. With all the cars on the highway and most likely damaged from flying onto the highway, I did not bother trying to retrieve my GPS. Upset I lost my Garmin, I guess you get what you pay for.

Its okay. The rotating collar does not get very tight so it doesnt keep the position. The phone stays secure in the clip but doesnt stay in the exact position on bouncy roads.

Works as intended!
I have used this for a summer to ride with my iphone 5 and it has held the phone in place. I have used an extra band to hold it just in case I hit a large bump but so far I don't think I have needed the extra band. For the price this is a good mount but I would be very careful going over curbs or large bumps just to be safe.
