Small but huge in capacity
A massive 982gb memory stick is the just the what I needed. A far cry from the old desk top hard drive.Nice and small and be left in the laptop all day long. The slick shiny design makes it look a premium product.I may buy another one just to backup my photo collection.

Unreliable. Slow
I bought 4 of these to make backups of my 4TB USb SSD. The first one I tried, after 4 hours of copying showed an empty folder. CHDSK reported every single directory block as corrupted. The second copied data okay, albeit very, very slowly, with transfer rate going from 2Mb/s down to 0, and back up again. but then explorer rebooted whilst referencing the drive and when I tried to scan the stick the scan hung up and I had to restart the system. All in all I would rate these as cheap and unfit for purpose. Returned the next day.

Terrible performance
I was pleasantly surprised to find that the flash drive was 982GB as stated, but sadly it was downhill from there. The performance is poor by USB 2.0 standards, never mind USB 3.0! In sustained write and read tests, the write was not sustained at all, continuously up and down between 0MB/s and 5MB/s. The read test was reasonably sustained, varying between 10MB/s and 12MB/s. A typical USB 3.0 flash drive should be capable of achieving 20~30MB/s write and 80~100MB/s read!

Does what it says on the tin.
It does what it is supposed to do. Has the full memory it says it has . Good value for money.

Too good to be true.
I couldn't believe that a memory stick with 1TB of storage space would cost just over a tenner and my fears were confirmed upon first use. I tried transferring about 700GB's of films, music and pictures onto it and it took about 6 hours. Initially, it appeared to have worked OK but as soon as I put the stick into another PC, it was clear that only about a third of that data had actually moved across (despite it showing as being 700GB full). So I tried to delete the data so I could try again and I got a message on my PC screen saying that it can't delete any of it and that there is a problem with the USB stick. I've tried on both my desktop and laptop (both windows 10 machines which work fine with other external data sticks) and I get the same message. These thumb drives are clearly cheap and nasty and it will now end up gathering dust in a bowl with some coins and paperclips. Don't waste your money.

Very nice piece kit. Stainless steel/aluminium housing looks the business. However when connected to mac using usb 3 the data transfer is extremely slow. It’s registering 5 daYS to transfer 600gb files.which is ridiculous. 1tb capacity is excellent and the price to die for however I could die in the time its taking to transfer data. So not for me. It’s been running now 8 hours and still only transferred 16gb data.
