Ordered Saturday got it Monday morning skill, the compass it self is well made and purfect for what I need it for I'm going to use it for tiling it will give me a spot on measurement in awkward places it's going to help me no end!

Strong sturdy and large enough to mark out some decent size circles. Delivery was good. Perfect for my workshop.

It's a good solid bit of metal, very well engineered, BUT, some of the "rough edges" have been left, which I had to file down prior to being able to use it safely. Also, the hollow cylinder to accept the pencil is secured with a small screw, which doesn't really hold the pencil securely, unless you wedge in a thick pencil. The pencil I have put in it is a bit thin, and therefore there is some "wobble" even when the screw is tightened up so much it screws into the wood of the pencil! It is also large enough to be able to cope with large circle drawing. Having "two points" is somewhat of a double-edged sword though...It is flexible enough to score a circle with the second point, but means that when there is a pencil in the holder, the compass is not "level" when pencil-drawing a circle (takes a bit of getting used to, but is fine once you get the knack!)

This good value product offers almost all what can be expected of a precise master tool. It's reliable for my work which need perfect accuracy (the sensitivity can be adjusted or locked and so can be the length of the arms. The best I ever owned (and not necessarily the most expensive)- Not surprising for such a great make ! Thanks Rotring !
