If you're reading this I imagine you've spent a while looking at different batteries on here and have seen all the mixed reviews. When I looked, pretty much every battery had some people report incompatibility or failure, while others said it's exactly as described.I bought this to replace the battery that came with my Desire HD three years ago, which was struggling to get through the morning. I could get maybe half an hour to an hour of use out of it.So far this one is fine. My phone now has a decent battery life and gets through the day no problems. This appears to be an authentic HTC battery and is, at a glance, indistinguishable from the original.If mixed reviews are putting you off, give this one a shot.

Can't see the point in buying a non HTC battery when the genuine one is only a few quid more. It performs exactly as the original, and I keep it charged in my USB cradle. The HTC Desire HD drains batteries quickly, so a spare battery is an essential accessory. The only downside is that the battery cover on the phone is fiddly and flimsy, but that's not the battery's fault!

not as long lasting between charges as the original when it was new so I doubt it is genuine htc but gives reasonable battery life and so is reasonable vfm

Product as expected. Now using it as my main battery. However, did have to wait quite a long time [3 weeks] for deliver]

My original HTC battery seemed to be failing after a couple of years constant use and I ordered one of these as a replacement. It seems identical to the original, the price is good and delivery was very quick. It came completely discharged so I charged it from the mains charger (which incidentally seems to have revived my original battery better than USB charging). So far it has been switched on for about 18 hours (I never switch mine off) and has been used to make and receive several calls but has remained fully charged. I definitely recommend this battery as a proper replacement for your HTC Desire HD. Edited to add - I've just bought another one which seems to be even better. It came half charged and after USB charging has been on for two days now with several calls made and received - just barely dropped from full charge. I have no hesitation in recommending one of these for your HTC Desire phone.

I'm disappointed with this battery. The mAh rating is higher than the original battery but the life is about 1/3 to 1/2 less which makes it an inferior product. I had to recharge fully twice in one working day. I didn't buy the cheapest battery on Amazon so I assumed my purchase would be fit for purpose. I had to pay postage on this item too which is why you have to be very careful at the checkout. Later on I noticed I'd paid shipping and it's the way that Amazon or at least their sellers catch you out. With the cost of postage this item is very poor value. This is my personal experience and it may be a one off but the company didn't offer a replacement, not even a reply. Now about one year on and I'm binning it today after since after really testing it I found it to be virtually useless, it has no staying power. The original battery is FAR, FAR better!

Way cheaper than buying from an HTC dealer,and this appears to be the genuine product from the labelling. I have had it in my HTC Desire HD for about a month now and the phone seems like newin terms of keeping its charge. Since buying the phone like most people I have loaded more and more apps on to it and am using it all the time to run my calendar appoinments, take photos and movies, upload to instagram etc etc. In addition HTC have updated the operating system to Ice Cream Sandwich which is great but I think uses a bit more power,and my original battery (about 30 months old) was showing signs of its age and hardly lasting the day. This repacement easily lasts the day and sometimes 2 days

The battery is a genuine HTC battery of standard specification, clean and undamaged, worth the extra few quid to have a proper battery and not a cheap knock off. Bought this after researching many other sellers and options and deemed this to be the best average as I don't buy the cheapest or the most expensive.Only real grievance is that I needed this desperately and paid for guaranteed express delivery, only to have it turn up a day late. Amazon and seller have been extremely prompt in resolving the matter so just be ware, but still buy this from here!
