Excellent knife.
The knockout is my favorite kershaw. Why they discontinued it is beyond me. Pretty in Damascus. Razor sharp from the factory.

Beautiful EDC That Won't Break the Bank
Very light for its size, opens fast for an assisted blade (I find well made manual flippers faster and make less noise when deployed). The dark olive green, sculpted aluminum scales are very nice indeed! The contrasting black frame lock with a stylized, elongated hole in it looks nice and I suppose saves weight. Of course the big feature style wise is the Damascus style knife. It certainly adds class. My only nit-picks are that there is no jimping on the top of the scales or top of the blade where your thumb would naturally rest. I recently purchased a Brous knife that had jimping the follows from the top of the scales to the blade. I really like that feature. Finally and probably easily fixed is that the pocket clip has a good sized "Kershaw" printed on it. I'd prefer no advertising peering out of my pocket. There is a plenty big "Kershaw" on the blade. Though the "Made in USA" is a most welcome etching on the other side of the blade. The price is right, in fact it is a bargain for this well made and good handling knife.

you won't regret this purchase
I love this knife, and I'll even go as far as to say it's my favorite edc knife I've had. The damascus steel is beautiful, easy to sharpen, and holds an edge really well. The knife is light weight and the reversible deep carry pocket clip makes for comfortable discreet carry and the clip is nice and snug. The action is smooth and quick while the liner lock is rock solid. I've had too many different brands of edc knives to name them all, but they've included Benchmade, Zero Tolerance and James Brand and this is the only knife I've ever replaced when I inexplicably lost my original. To be clear, I'm not saying this knife is better than any from those brands, I'm saying this has been my favorite.

nice.
Love this knife. Broke my original knockout with the all black blade doing something I had no business doing with it and unfortunately but I guess kinda fortunately this is the only resort to replace. Feels like a crime to carry lol I want the black blade to edc cuz this one is gorgeous and it cost me time every time I gotta cut something I MUST to embrace the blade first smh. I have ordered a duplicate to have on ice.

Impressive quality and aesthetically pleasing.
This knife is exactly what you would expect from Kershaw. Fantastic build quality and American made. I really love the Damascus steel blade, it really sets this knife apart from the others. If I have one complaint, it’s that the blade could have been sharper out of the box.

Looks pretty. Is garbage
Most disappointing kershaw blade in the history of kershaw. Good use is for metal detecting target because if you lose it you will not care.

Kershaw Knockout Damascus
Rating this knife with one qualifying number is really really difficult because it is a very very nice folder but it has a flaw. I bought and returned this knife for one reason and that is that the blade touches the back spacer which is plastic or something similar. The design is awesome and very quickly I grew attached to it until I noticed that when you closed it the sound was that of metal hitting plastic rather than the metal blade connecting with the blade pin. At this point I am actually considering buying it again and then customizing my own back spacer or hiring someone to do it. Either that or see if they come out with something similar next year yet improved. Blue or a lighter green Kershaw USA maybe instead of olive perhaps. The olive appears black in low light. I loved the deeper blade on this knife. The blade is awesome without the thumb stud and the entire package is really quite excellent short of these back spacer issues. The spacer should have been made of alloy to be more consistent.Update: Bought another one which does not have the back spacer issue.
