Advent Professional Dual Printed 5m/16ft x 25mm Tape Measure - ATM4-5025D

This is a quality product, great value for money too. I would say just as good or better than my Stanley tape measure.

At builder's merchants / diy places you tend to get stanley or similar tapes which are either about the same price as this (£6-8) and pretty rubbish, or three times the price (fatmax etc - good but not worth the money). This has measurements printed on both sides and the metal hook / tab at the end goes both ways - so you can always hook an edge and get a reading. Bargain.

The tape measure feels very solid and is clear to read.

I chose this because it has measurements printed on both sides which is a handy feature. It’s quite clunky, seems large for a 5m tape. The rewind is fierce and care must be taken that the hooks on the end of the tape don’t damage anything and that you retract in a measured way. Does the job but I wonder if there are better measures available.

I've used quite a few tapes - conservatively maybe 40 or 50. Usually I buy cheep ones because I loose them or they bend and break. I tend to buy wider tapes so that they have a decent reach.About a year ago I splashed out on a Milwalkee tape and it is clearly a cut above everything else I've tried by a considerable margin except it doesn't have imperial measurements!Saw these and they looked so similar to the Milwalkee I thought I'd give them a go - WOW - 1/3 the price and probably better overall for my DIY needs. Yes the Milwalkee has some nice features but I actually prefer this one.I like the long reach (comfortably 2.5M) and the endstop that hooks really well.Very happy with this tape and can confidently recommend.

Being a joiner and being able to use this tape in any hand is great, clear markings very easy to see . Just a really good tape measure, I bought all my staff these . Would strongly recommend this item . I’ve used several brands over the years these are far the best
