All Day Comfort...
I bought these to use as waterproof boots for on the motorbike and thought i should wear them for a few days to break them in before putting them in the closet only to be brought out on wet days.Well, I've had them for a few weeks now and they haven't gone in the closet yet. These boots are super light, very comfortable, and exceptionally warm (it's down to -2 Celsius here in New Zealand at the moment). The boots go on at 8am and they don't come off till 10pm. I feel I could wear them around the clock without any worries. The only complaint I would have is the insole could have a bit more arch support for my high arches but that's nothing that can't be sorted easily. If they come up on sale again I'll be buying several pairs and storing them till needed.UPDATE: Had these boots for over a year now and still loving them. Comfortable, warm, and still waterproof. Recently wore them day and night for two weeks on a motorcycle trip and often forgot they were on my feet. Rode both on and off road and boots performed exceptionally well. Hopefully they're still available when this pair wears out.UPDATE April 2013: Had these almost 3 years now and apart from the sole showing signs of wear they are still going strong and even more comfortable. They're nearly double the price I paid in 2010. So, happy they're lasting so well.

Finally. High Boots That Actually Fit Me!
My experience with Propet boots has been uniformly good and their Badlands Boot is no exception. For the most part getting shoes and boots to fit my 9.5, EEEEE pods has been an exercise in frustration over the years. So many good looking, sturdy boots and shoes in stores and not one of them will fit me. Ever. The Propet Badlands Boot is a perfect fit for my very wide feet. The boot is sized accurately, light, and is well made, especially for the price. As several reviewers have noted, the thinsulate lining means the Badlands Boot is well insulated and definately on the warm side so be advised. Some reviewers have had problems with the side zippers that allow you to set the laces and after that just unzip the boots to remove them and easily slip them on and then zip them up again. Can't say that I've had any problems like that. The side zippers on both boots work as advertized with out any glitches. In summary, the boots look good, feel really comfortable, are well made for the money, and after wearing them for two weeks, i have no complaints.

Great boot: comfortable, breathable, waterproof
I've owned a pair for a year now, and they are fantastic boots. I have very wide long feet (14 5E), and not only are these really comfy but I could easily have gotten a 4E if I didn't wear them with huge thick socks! Good solid construction - I went hiking thru the mountains around Puerto Vallarta with no problems.Pros:Zippers for easy on/off once you get the laces to the perfect tightness.Very breathable, my feet don't feel like I'm wading in my own sweat!Extremely comfortable insole.Nice flexible uppers - some uppers only bend in certain places, making creases that press down on my foot. Not these bad boys!Cons:VERY slippery on smooth/wet surfaces; if not for this I would give it five stars.Easy to catch zipper on waterproofing material under zip.

Good Boots, Great Price
These boots were a gift. My friend works in a correctional facility and has a 5E foot. Boots for men with very wide feet can cost more than double the price of these boots. Last year, for Christmas, I took a chance an purchased a pair for him. They are still serviceable today. However, it's been a year and is time for a new pair. For anyone who pounds concrete 8-12 hours a day, you know the value of good shoes. So, here I am again, purchasing a second pair. Are they $300 boots? Nope. Are they as slip-resistant as $300 boots? Nope. But they have stood up to the various mishaps that occur in a correctional setting, from flooded tiers to overflowing toilets. I'll leave out the juicier details and leave them to the imagination. My friend has been very happy with these boots. They fit. They are comfortable. They've conquered the concrete. If you are a guy with very wide feet and a limited budget, you can't go wrong with these boots.

Seem like they will be solid winter boots.
The fit is mostly as expected -- perhaps a bit snug, but I have the feeling that will be worked out as the boots are broken in. They are surprisingly light and have a cushioned interior. The zipper is quite handy, as the boots will only need to be laced every now and then as they are broken in. They confer a great deal of stability about the ankle region, bordering on too snug, but once again this will probably be mitigated by use. They do not confer much slip-resistance, which may be a concern to some. Overall, I am happy with the purchase.

Impressed a jaded 14 YO
I purchased these boots for my son to go to Philmont in this summer. I have owned other Propet shoes and love the fit and functionality, so since he needed a high-shank boot, among other specifications, when I saw these for such a reasonable price, I ordered them. I guess my son likes them, because when he saw them, he screamed in delight, put them on and raced out of the house to show them to his friends. He reports them comfortable in a short amount of break in time, and the zippers make it easy to get them on and off quickly. I will update this review after his trip in July when I see how the work.POST PHILMONT UPDATE - These boots did over 70 miles of hiking on my son's feet, and they came back only a little worse for the wear. Almost a year later, he is still wearing them for camping and hiking trips, now down to one pair of socks instead of 2 pairs and a liner. GREAT VALUE and GREAT QUALITY.
